PARTY RAGE - Driver D Butcher questioned regarding the manner he drove near the 950 metres, as to his reasons for failing to hold the one one position on the back of TAZZY'S DEVIL when MO CASINO shifted down from three wide to fill that position. Mr Butcher stated that MO CASINO had been racing forward of him and had been able to shift in with SNOW RAKER when that runner moved down to trail the leader. Mr Butcher further explained that PARTY RAGE had then lay in and paced roughly when being steadied to trail MO CASINO. | |

Compounded inside the final 800 metres and was retired from the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a mildly elevated heart and respiratory rate with no other abnormalities. Co-Trainer S Reid advised that the filly would be spelled. | |
ELLE CLASSIQUE - shifted down into the passing lane when leading early in the run home. Authorisation of this mare's 2nd placing was withheld until it was confirmed by Driver H Cullen that the chances of ART OF GOLD (third place) were not affected.
