Race 1 GRAND PARK RESTAURANT FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CHERRY BAY broke at the start losing considerable ground. A final warning was placed against this filly's mobile barrier manners.
WHITECLIFF CHAPEL (favourite) commenced to over-race passing the 1600 metres before shifting out to race without cover, this filly then continued to over-race before weakening over the final stages to finish in 8th place beaten 27.7 lengths. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality other than a possible slow recovery.

HUDY HAXWELL lay in near the 1300 metres striking pylons and then again on the final turn.
VIBHUTI (favourite) raced four back on the outer before attempting to improve passing the 400 metres but was unable to make up much ground to finish in 6th place, beaten 4.6 lengths.

No claims were lodged for MOMENT OF TRUTH.
COOL SON was slow over the early stages.
TEMPORALE broke briefly shortly after the start losing ground and then trotted roughly for some distance.
YOUNG STRANGER broke near the 500 metres, losing all chance.
RISE TO SUCCESS commenced to weaken from the 400 metres to finish at the rear.
LUCKY FORTUNE over-raced during the middle stages when trailing the leader and then broke passing the 200 metres after contacting the off side sulky wheel of TERESKOVA, losing all chance. An investigation was held into this incident and it was established that LUCKY FORTUNE, which was travelling strongly, had improved forward quickly to the inside of TERESKOVA when that runner shifted out marginally on straightening for the run home with contact then being made to the sulky wheel of TERESKOVA. Driver A. Neal was given the benefit of the doubt in relation to the incident and no further action was deemed necessary on this occasion.
 
Race 4 IGNITE ARCHITECTS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
TURBULENT FLOW gave ground from inside the 400 metres.
ART OF GOLD paced roughly for several strides passing the 150 metres.
SHIELDMAIDEN (favourite) paced roughly when placed under pressure passing the 50 metres.
 
Race 5 GANELLEN MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
BONNIE'S KHALEESI and JO'S DREAM locked wheels passing the 300 metres with JO'S DREAM pacing roughly for several strides shortly after. JO'S DREAM then finished on strongly when balanced into 4th place.
CHARLESTON BELLE was held up early until passing the 150 metres.

HARRYSUL trotted roughly over the early stages.
MONSEIGNEUR commenced to give ground passing the 800 metres to finish at the rear. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer B. Schumacher advised that he would have the gelding further vetted in the upcoming days.
BOBBY BREEN broke approaching the 400 metres and then again late in the run home.
HARRYSUL lay out when placed under pressure in the final straight.
Junior Driver A. Poutama (BOBBY BREEN) was shown the replay and spoken to advisedly in relation to the manner in which he drove racing through the front straight to receive the bell which resulted in MONSEIGNEUR being forced down into the passing lane.

Driver Z. Butcher reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners on the winner NEW YEARS JAY.
 
Race 8 FAREWELL DANE ALEXANDER MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
TURNBULLS lay in shortly after the start and then continued to hang at various stages of the running.
EVERLASTING GRACE was held up early on the final turn and initial stages of the run home.
CORROBOREE was held up for clear racing room over the final stages and was then placed in restricted room after the winning post..
An investigation was held into an incident entering the first turn where YOUBETTERYOUBET contacted several marker pegs when racing to the inside of WILL DESIRE, which had BENNYANDTHEJETS crossing down from a three wide position to its outside. It was established that WILL DESIRE had lay in and raced ungenerously when being eased and contributed to the incident. No further action was deemed necessary.
 
Race 9 WHITE ASSOCIATES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ARMABLUECHIPBOY and BIG MACH were both slow early.
STUNNING SHADOW broke rounding the first bend checking BIG MACH which also broke briefly. A warning was placed on the racing manners record of STUNNING SHADOW.
STUNNING SHADOW paced roughly rounding the final bend.
URBAN TIGER lay inwards on the final turn when challenging three wide.
 
Race 10 IGNITE ARCHITECTS HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
No claims were lodged for FRANCO NADAL.
GEORGE broke shortly after the start and settled at the rear.
NATURAL broke rounding the first bend settling at the rear of the field.
SPEEDY EARL broke passing the 2400 metres losing ground before settling.
THE SCRUFF broke approaching the 1300 metres checking DANKE, which also broke, and LARCH which had to take evasive action. A warning was placed against the racing manners of THE SCRUFF.
THE SCRUFF broke again passing the 750 metres losing all chance.
GEORGE broke near the 150 metres and failed to settle.
SPECIAL FLIGHT lay in on the final turn and contacted marker pegs.
A Protest was lodged against the 4th placing of GEORGE (R. Argue) under Rule 870(3) on the grounds that this gelding failed to promptly regain its proper gait when galloping over the final 150 metres. The Protest was not contested by connections and the J.C.A. disqualified GEORGE from 4th placing.
Authorisation of the 2nd placing of NATURAL (J. MacKinnon) with withheld until it was established that this mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when galloping on the first turn.
Junior Driver K. Marshall reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners on the winner FRANCO NADAL.
