Race 1 GARY CHAMBERLAIN 'RACECOURSE MANAGER OF THE YEAR' TROT Video  Video 
ZONED SCARLETT and MR PRESTON broke shortly after the start and again when negotiating the first bend.
DAIQUIRI broke just prior to the first bend.
HERE WE ARE broke when entering the first bend.
HOLLY TROUBLE propped and broke nearing the 400 metres losing its chance.
HERE WE ARE broke nearing the 150 metres.
Driver C DeFilippi (FIRA SUNSET) advised the removable deafeners on the filly had not activated due to the cord becoming entangled.
Authorisation of 1st placing being awarded to DAIQUIRI was withheld until it was confirmed the filly had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations when in a break over the early stages.

PORT HANOVER underwent a veterinary examination prior to the start and was cleared to race.
DAYLIGHT ROBBERY was out of position at dispatch. This gelding then lay up the track rounding the first bend proving difficult to steer for driver J Dunn. This gelding then improved to race in the parked position from the 1500 metres before tiring from the 400 metres causing an inconvenience to PORT HANOVER. Driver J Dunn reported that the gelding had proven difficult to steer through the score up and early stages and as such a warning was placed on the its racing record. Mr Dunn advised he would be recommending gear changes prior to the gelding's next start.
PORT HANOVER paced roughly and broke briefly racing into the first bend and settled at the rear.
JUDYS MCARDLE struggled to maintain its position with the field from the 1500 metres and was subsequently retired from the event by driver M Edmonds. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to have suffered from an atrial fibrillation and as a consequence was stood down pending a vet clearance including the results of an ECG test.
HEIR POCKET paced roughly before breaking briefly nearing the 1300 metres. This gelding then broke again nearing the 300 metres. Co-trainer P Wakelin advised she would be making gear adjustments and returning HEIR POCKET to the trials prior to resuming.
Driver G O'Reilly (MAN OF CHANGE) dropped his foot from the sulky rest when activating gear early in the run home.
Driver J Cox reported he did not activate the removable deafeners on ART I AM due to having the field covered.

LADY ALEXIS stood as the start was effected and then tangled away.
GUNA tangled away.
MISSINMEMATE broke at the start.
BADENTYRE shifted inwards as the start was effected causing a minor check to ROCKETEER. This colt was then inclined to lay outwards and proved difficult to steer for trainer/driver G Smith. Mr Smith advised he would be making gear changes prior to the colt's next start.
SANDRA KEITH had warning placed on its standing start record after breaking for a distance through the early stages. Trainer A Lowe advised he would be returning the mare to the trials prior to resuming and requested that SANDRA KEITH be placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
LAVROS VANCE also had a warning placed on its standing start record after it broke in the early stages. This gelding was inclined to hang inwards throughout the run home.
 
Race 4 OFFICE SPOT ASHBURTON MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
FRANCO SAXON over-raced when being restrained through the early stages. This gelding was then inclined to lay inwards through the early stages of the run home.
 
Race 5 FULTON HOGAN FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
LONGEVITY had a warning placed on its mobile record after breaking at the start.
TIANA'S MILLIE hung inwards and struck pylons on the first bend.
YUKON CLOUD over-raced when being restrained to trail with 1500 metres to run.
LI NA commenced to weaken with 500 metres to run. A post-race veterinary examination of the filly revealed a respiratory infection and as such was stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
LUCY DIAMOND which had worked hard through the middle stages to obtain the lead, tired prior to the home straight with this inconveniencing YUKON CLOUD, TIANA'S MILLIE which broke and LONGEVITY.
Horseman P Davis (PALEFACE SIOUX) dropped his whip near the 150 metres.

DANNY DEL VITO tangled shortly after the start.
BOOMER BAILEY broke shortly after the start after being placed in restricted room momentarily between DANNY DEL VITO and BANK RAIDER. BOOMER BAILEY continued to break for a considerable distance and was subsequently retired from the event.
BANK RAIDER hung outwards onto STAR FANTASY and had to be steadied passing the 400 metres.
Horseman T Quate (DANNY DEL VITO) was advised to change his whip action.
 
Race 7 ARTHUR CATES LTD HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
MY AMOUR was back off its unruly position at the start.
REDWOOD INVASION broke at the start.
THE FOX tangled briefly shortly after the start.
TOTAL EXPOSURE broke just prior to the first bend.
SARAH PALIN over-raced passing the 1600 metres.
LOVE STRUCK ROMEO trotted roughly and broke passing the 600 metres losing its chance.
BACARDI N COKE trotted roughly and broke passing the 400 metres.
SUNNY DEMON lay in throughout the run home and was unable to be driven out.
Authorisation of 4th place being awarded to TOTAL EXPOSURE was withheld until it was confirmed that the gelding had not breached the Breaking Horse Regulations when in a break rounding the first bend.

Trainer J Reardon was issued a $50 Minor Infringement Notice for being late to notify NORTHVIEW MAJOR would be racing with removable deafeners.
FLAMBOYANT and NORTHVIEW MAJOR broke as the start was effected.
HEY KNOWCHANGE had a warning placed on its standing start record after it broke as the start was effected.
FLAMBOYANT was held up for clear racing room in the middle stages of the run home.
