WILMA'S MATE (D Butt) and LITTLE MO (C Ford) briefly locked wheels passing the 800 metres after WILMA'S MATE shifted ground outwards with both drivers also becoming unbalanced for a brief period. | |
MONNAY weakened passing the 600 metres causing PHIL'S GIFT and TORNADO VALLEY to become held up for a considerable distance. A post-race veterinary examination of MONNAY revealed no obvious abnormalities. The on-course Veterinarian recommended blood tests be taken from the gelding in the coming days. LEAH MAC narrowly avoided the breaking MAJOR OVERDRIVE and had to shift outwards abruptly after 100 metres. Stewards spoke with driver M Parker regarding this incident. After considering her explanation, Miss Parker was warned to display a greater level of attention in future. | |

SHARDS HALO shifted outwards under pressure in the run home forcing SANS LE SOU wider on the track. Driver K Cox (SANS LE SOU) reported that her horse had not been affected by the outwards movement of SHARDS HALO. | |
