Race 1 BUBLITZ TRANSPORT AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
There were no claims for THATSHOWIE ROLL or ELLIOT DANIEL.
SHARDS PHOENIX broke early in the score up but recovered to take its place at the start behind the mobile. A final warning was issued to Trainer T Vince in regard to its mobile barrier manners.
SHARDS PHOENIX trailed early, shuffled back to three deep on the running line and attempted to improve outward from inside 400 metres but failed to get clear running room until the last 50 metres.
ELLIOT DANIEL over-raced during the middle stages before being taken forward to lead near the 1100 metres.
PARTY RAGE was held up for clear racing room over the latter stages of the run home.
 
Race 2 JAMES TAB CAMBRIDGE MOBILE TROT Video  Video 
LAUGH AND CRY, which raced in a Breeders Crown non-tote event earlier in the programme, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start.
There were no claims for DANKE or FRANCO NADAL.
DANKE broke early in the score up and was 40 metres out of position at the start. This gelding broke again passing the 1200 metres losing its chance.
SOUTHLAND REFLECTOR broke shortly after the start, recovered and settled at the rear but broke again approaching the 450 metres losing its chance.
SPEEDY EARL broke racing into the first bend causing LAUGH AND CRY to take evasive action with a resultant check to THE SCRUFF which broke losing considerable ground. SPEEDY EARL was pulled up during the running.
ALLINGHAM trotted roughly rounding the bend passing the 900 metres and broke badly passing the 700 metres and was pulled up.
FRANCO NADAL broke when racing in a prominent position passing the 250 metres but settled quickly after losing several lengths.

A minor infringement notice was issued and a $100 fine imposed on Trainer R MacKenzie for presenting FIZZI LIZZI with blinds which were not notified
SIFTY TUESDAY paced unevenly early in the score up and was a length out of position at the start.
FIZZI LIZZI was inclined to lay in prior to the start and was a length out of position.
An information was lodged alleging that Horseman M Salaivao drove BENJI MAGUIRE carelessly contacting the sulky wheel of CHEVRONS EASY (J Abernethy) causing his own horse to gallop losing its chance with 150 metres to run. The charge was admitted and the JCA imposed a fine of $350.00.
 
Race 4 NORTHERN RACEDAY SERVICES HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
HARRY H was a late scratching at 11 am due to being ineligible after winning the Breeders Crown non-tote by walk over.
ANZAC broke for several strides at the start.
LINDY'S DREAM was slow away and then broke losing considerable ground.
RISE TO SUCCESS broke briefly at the start.
JIMMYS GIRL, after attempting to find a trail early, was eased to the rear of the field approaching the 1500 metres.
SEXY REXY, when racing in the trail behind the leader racing down the back straight the last time, was inclined to lay out. The gelding broke free of interference approaching the 400 metres with GIN racing three wide to take evasive action.

Race 6 MATAMATA BUSINESS COMMUNITY RACENIGHT AUGUST 4 MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CUT THE CARDS after being caught three wide early was restrained to the rear with 1700 metres to run.
RIO GRANDE gave ground quickly over the concluding stages.
RANGI RANGDU and CUT THE CARDS were held up for clear running in the run home.

There were no claims lodged for ON THE RAZZLE.
PRINCESS KATE broke at the start.
NORVIC RUBY was slow away and paced roughly losing ground over the initial stages breaking for several strides at the rear of the field with 2300 metres to run.
 
Race 8 FAIRVIEW MOTORS CAMBRIDGE HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
Dual acceptors DANKE and SPEEDY EARL which both raced in Race 2 were declared fit to start by the Club's Veterinarian.
There were no claims lodged for DANKE.
MOB STAR broke at the start.
NO BACARDI DAMIT (favourite) broke shortly after the start, settling at the rear. The gelding broke again at the 2100 metres losing a further 20 metres, before catching the field and improving with a trial two wide inside the 1500 metres. NO BACARDI DAMIT then improved three wide at the 1200 metres to lead at the 1000 metres, trotted roughly for several strides when under pressure in the run home, finishing in 6th place beaten 6.5 lengths.
GREY STOKE broke rounding the first bend and again passing the 400 metres losing its chance.

DARK OPS broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
 
Race 12 ABC HEAT 3YO COLTS & GELDINGS MOBILE TROT
HARRY H was awarded this race by Walkover.
 
Race 13 ABC HEAT 2YO FILLIES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
DOUBLE TWIST paced roughly over the early stages and then broke passing the 400 metres losing a winning chance.
