Race 2 - CAVELL LEITCH BUSINESS TEAM FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
Co-Trainer G Hope has advised Stewards that following its disappointing performance at Addington last week, blood tests were taken from DALNESS MAC with no abnormalities detected. Mr Hope added that the filly is now having a brief freshener and will return to trials and/or workouts before resuming.

Race 9 - FORBURY PARK CLAIMERS SERIES FINAL MOBILE PACE
Stable representative J Dunn has advised Stewards that following its disappointing performance at Forbury Park last week, SUPERIOR DESIRE has returned to the Woodend stables and recovered well. Mr Dunn added that the gelding does not respond when asked to do work in the running and as a consequence will be driven with a sit where possible in upcoming engagements.

Race 1 BISHOPDALE/BUSH INN TABS & TAVERN HAREWOOD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
AVEROSS BRACHOLE broke through the latter stages of the score up resulting in several runners being inconvenienced and out of their position at the starting point resulting in a false start being declared.
AS KIWI AS and LAUGHING CAVALIER raced wide in the early stages with AS KIWI AS being improved to obtain the parked position near the 1700 metres.
NUI TOC TIEN raced greenly through the early and middle stages when leading.
SUPERIOR DESIRE over-raced in the middle stages.
ATOMIC FALCON weakened near the 1000 metres. A subsequent veterinary examination showed no apparent abnormalities. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing performance.
HANDLEBAR HANK commenced to give ground inside the final 600 metres inconveniencing the trailing AVEROSS BRACHOLE and THATS BETTOR both of which became held up for a short distance. A subsequent veterinary examination showed no apparent abnormalities. Driver A Hutton reported the gelding to have over-raced throughout after becoming agitated subsequent to the false start.
NUI TOC TIEN hung outwards leaving the final bend with the gelding continuing to lay outwards under pressure throughout the run home. Driver S Murtha reported the gelding had hung throughout.
Amateur Driver S Murtha (NUI TOC TIEN) dropped his foot briefly near the 200 metres when activating gear.
HANDLEBAR HANK was claimed.
 
Race 2 SPONSORED BY GABY & JULIE MAGHZAL MOBILE TROT Video  Video 
AUNTY JAN trotted roughly through the latter stages of the score up resulting in the mare being a length out of position at dispatch.
ELVIS P was also one length out of position at the start. Driver M Perriton was issued with a warning to make a better effort in future.
MOY broke shortly after the start hampering ELVIS P who galloped in consequence and lost considerable ground.
FORGOT TO REMEMBER and AUNTY JAN had to be steadied near the 900 metres when becoming awkwardly positioned behind JEDDY R YA READY when the pace had eased. N Williamson as the driver of JEDDY R YA READY was shown the films and warned that in future it was expected he display a greater level of care when shifting ground.
FORGOT TO REMEMBER broke near the 600 metres losing its chance.
FAMILY NIGHT broke near the 200 metres inconveniencing FATAL REUNION who was attempting to improve.
FAMILY NIGHT returned to the enclosure making abnormal breathing sounds with a subsequent post-race veterinary examination revealing no obvious abnormalities, however an endoscopic examination was recommended. Stewards will follow up with trainer G McCrea in the coming days regarding this.
 
Race 3 SPREYDON LODGE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
Near the 700 metres JEMA JET which was racing parked hung inwards causing some crowding to LUCKY THREE. In turn this created an easing of the pace in the two wide line with BLACK ART breaking near the 650 metres when being steadied.
STARS ALIGN improved wide near the 750 metres and hung inwards on the final bend and in the early stages of the run home causing driver T Williams some difficulty.
ROYAL JESTER was held up on the final bend and had to shift ground outwards near the 250 metres to improve.
Driver B Orange (BILLY) dropped his foot leaving the final bend near the 250 metres when activating gear.
KACHINA hung outwards rounding the final bend and near the 200 metres ducked outwards abruptly when placed under pressure.
BIG BUDDIE was unable to gain clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home.
JAY JAYZ BOY had difficulty gaining clear racing room over the final stages.
 
Race 4 KEITH & BEVAN GRICE PARTNERSHIP PACE Video  Video 
FRANCO HAMILTON, DYNAMO, HAPPY STYX, FREAK LIKE ME and JUNIOR broke at the start, with FREAK LIKE ME losing several lengths.
GUNA weakened near the 500 metres hampering THE GOVERNOR and SUPERMOSHI who both had to shift ground.
FREAK LIKE ME broke rounding the final bend near the 300 metres. Stewards placed a final warning on the gelding's racing record.
THE GOVERNOR hung inwards throughout the run home and had to be steadied, shifting outwards near the 100 metres when awkwardly positioned near the wheel of MISSMATCH.
Near the 100 metres BIONIC MAN shifted outwards under pressure briefly hampering MEMPHIS MAC.
 
Race 5 ROSEDALE FARM - KEN & ANNE-MARIE SPICER MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
FLYIN HEATHER broke briefly shortly after the start, with a warning placed on the mare's barrier record.
EXPRESSIVE VICTOR over-raced in the middle stages.
AVEROSS RUSTLER hung outwards on the bend near the 1600 metres.
Stewards questioned N Williamson as the driver of AVEROSS RUSTLER as to whether he could of made a better effort to utilize clear racing room near the pylons in the run home. Mr Williamson explained that his instructions had been to take up a forward position as the connections felt the gelding raced in a more tractable manner when able to lead. Mr Williamson added his runner had been inclined to lay outwards throughout the race and after making an initial attempt at taking an inside run in the early stages of the straight, he felt his best interests' were to allow the gelding to shift outwards with its momentum. After considering submissions and reviewing the films Mr Williamson's comments were accepted.
 
Race 6 PAUL & PAULINE RENWICK 3YO FILLIES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
GLENISTHEBETTOR improved wide from the 1100 metres before weakening inside the final 400 metres which caused some inconvenience to DONEGAL RUNDLESCREEK which had to shift wider.
QUEEN BEE BARDON hung inwards leaving the final bend near the 300 metres and made light contact with the sulky of SEM'S DELIGHT.
Near the 150 metres KASHANA had to be steadied for a short distance when crowded to the outside of GLENFERRIE CLASSIC.
G Smith as the driver of KOTARE KASAI advised he didn't activate the sliding blinds due to the cord coming loose.
 
Race 7 DARREN DEFILIPPI MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
NATIVES LASTING LOVE reared as the tapes were released losing ground.
BRADS KENNY broke after 100 metres.
YANKEE COMMANDO broke approaching the first bend which hampered JEAN SEBASTIEN which had to be restrained and shifted outwards abruptly.
BOBBINS was inclined to hang inwards rounding the bends throughout.
Stewards spoke with drivers J Young (ALVIRA HEST) and M Purvis (YANKEE COMMANDO) regarding an incident near the 1400 metres where YANKEE COMMANDO was taken to a three wide position for a short distance. After considering the explanation of both drivers and reviewing the films it was determined that ALVIRA HEST had commenced its movement outwards when entitled to do so and so no further action was required.
Stewards inquired into an incident near the 1300 metres when DUSKY EYRE was shifted outwards into the two wide running line causing JEAN SEBASTIEN to race three wide. However Stewards films showed that at no stage did the outward movement of DUSKY EYRE cause JEAN SEBASTIEN to be taken any wider on the track.
PETITE ROYAL over-raced in the middle stages.
JEAN SEBASTIEN raced roughly between the 950 metres and the 800 metres with the gelding losing its position behind BRADS KENNY. In consequence, passing the 600 metres JEAN SEBASTIEN was again shifted outwards to race extremely wide on the track.
DUSKY EYRE was hampered near the 500 metres by the weakening PETITE ROYAL and had to be steadied near the 400 metres when awkwardly positioned between ALVIRA HEST and BOBBINS.
YANKEE COMMANDO was held up on the final bend.
SUN'S INVASION trotted roughly throughout the run home. Stewards requested a post-race veterinary examination of SUN'S INVASION which revealed no obvious abnormalities.
 
Race 8 BROMAC LODGE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
FULHAM ROYALE was slightly out of position at dispatch despite the efforts of driver R Holmes.
IMOLA hung inwards entering the first bend near the 1600 metres.
IMOLA again hung inwards and paced roughly near the 300 metres.
SHILLELAGH raced roughly leaving the final bend and had to be steadied by driver D Dunn.
BETTOR LUCK raced roughly throughout the final straight.
 
Race 9 MACCA LODGE TRAINED SOUTH OF THE WAITAKI (HEAT) MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
GOTTA DEL over-raced through the early and middle stages of the score up.
When spoken to regarding the seemingly disappointing performance of MR HANDLEMAN driver C Ferguson advised that the gelding had switched off on several occasions during the running and recommended to connections that the blinds be applied in an attempt to keep the horse focused.
FRANCO TYSON weakened near the 500 metres.
 
Race 10 ONE OVER LODGE - LEX & HEATHER WILLIAMS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
BIRD OF PARADISE raced wide without cover over the final 1000 metres.
BUBBLY BABE hung inwards rounding the final bend and near the 400 metres broke inconveniencing HIGHLAND REIGN which had to steady and shift wider. Also hampered as a result was REAL SOUTH which received considerable pressure and TWITTER BROMAC who became held up. When spoken to regarding the run of his mare Driver B Orange advised his runner had made abnormal breathing noises during the running. A post-race veterinary examination showed no obvious abnormalities. A warning was placed against the racing manners record of BUBBLY BABE.
When questioned regarding the improved performance of ASHES TO WINGS trainer M Smolenski advised that in his opinion the mare is better suited when driven aggressively through the early stages to obtain a prominent position rather than driven with a sit. Mr Smolenski added that in recent starts the respective drivers were unable to utilize the mare's gate speed. Mr Smolenski further advised that in his opinion ASHES TO WINGS had performed best when driven by D Dunn.
Near the 650 metres SANS LE SOU and TWITTER BROMAC briefly locked wheels. R Alfeld (SANS LE SOU) will be spoken to regarding this in the coming days.
 
Race 11 AVON CITY FORD HANDICAP PACE Video  Video 
MRS BROWN'S BOY and DONEGAL JIMMY DAVE broke as the start was effected with both runner's losing ground.
G I JOE paced roughly for a short distance through the early stages.
HAPPY LOU raced keenly in the middle stages.
RANFURLY RULZ was held up over the final stages.

STAR CANDIDATE was back a length at the start.
