Race 1 SPECIAL OLYMPICS FUNDRAISER 29 JULY 2016 MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
SPRING CAMPAIGN (favourite) was obliged to race three deep on the running line for the majority of the race. Driver D. Butcher improved the colt into the passing lane with a trail early in the run home before shifting outward and then back inward in an attempt to get clear racing room which did not eventuate. SPRING CAMPAIGN finished 5th, beaten 2.1 lengths.
 
Race 2 WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
FLASHING GOOD TIME broke shortly after the start was effected and checked RAZOR BROGDEN. FLASHING GOOD TIME recovered to settle midfield. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier manners record of FLASHING GOOD TIME.
NINOTCHKA paced roughly and broke shortly after the start settling toward the rear. A warning was placed on this filly's mobile barrier manners.
BOPPER JET paced roughly and then proceeded to race fiercely racing down the back straight for the first time with Driver R. Brosnan shifting the gelding wider on the track before galloping passing the 1400 metres and losing its chance. NINOTCHKA was inconvenienced by this runner. Trainer R. Brosnan was warned to improve BOPPER JET's racing manners and advised that a repetition may result in a 28 day stand down.
RAZOR BROGDEN raced greenly approaching the 1000 metres contacting the wheel of the sulky of STEP UP which sustained a punctured tyre.
Driver D. Balle advised Stewards that the removable deafeners on JANET GUTHRIE did not activate when the filly was out of contention.

MAJESTIC GAL broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground and its chance.
LUCKY FORTUNE, which led early, was eased to take a trail and proceeded to over-race through the middle stages and rounding the final bend.
I GOT RHYTHM over-raced in the middle stages when at the rear.
THE SCRUFF was improved three wide from inside the 1800 metres to race one out without cover passing the 1100 metres and proceeded to weaken inside the final 400 metres impeding TERESKOVA.
TERESKOVA, after clearing the weakening THE SCRUFF, was held up until inside the last 150 metres.
THE CROWN JEWELS broke free of interference passing the 200 metres.

STAND SURE was held up rounding the final bend and over the early stages of the run home.
FORMULA ONE was held up throughout the run home with Driver B. Mangos being unable to activate the removable deafeners and sliding blinds on this gelding.
 
Race 5 UNITED TRUCK PARTS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
STARS AND SOUND over-raced in the early and middle stages.
VASARI, which raced one out without cover over the early and middle stages, weakened inside the last 400 metres impeding the progress of the trailing FIRST HOME.
 
Race 6 KITCHEN MANIA FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ROCKNROLL PRINCESS, which raced one out without cover, weakened from inside the 700 metres finishing well back. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 7 CADUCEUS CLUB HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
LITTLE BRO broke at the start losing considerable ground.
RARE OPPORTUNITY broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground.
HIGHLAND STAR, after leading the field for the majority of the race, weakened quickly inside the last 300 metres with Driver Z. Butcher shifting the gelding to the inside of the marker line to avoid inconveniencing the trailing runners.
Junior Driver K. Marshall (CHARLEMAGNE) was issued with a warning to correct his whip action. Junior Driver K. Marshall is to be interviewed regarding his failure to attend a Steward's inquiry when so directed.

VIBHUTI raced three wide for the first 800 metres before being restrained to the rear.
STUNIN BANNER lay in rounding the final bend and failed to get clear racing room throughout the run home.
EASY FOR CULLEN was held up early on the final turn behind the weakening ELLIOT DANIEL.
SCANRECO BAY, SHARDON'S PEARL and MAJOR CLASSIC were held up for clear running until inside the final 100 metres.
SHARDON'S PEARL underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed a small wound to the near fore medial heel which required treatment by the veterinarian.

No claims were lodged for SHANTAHLIA KNIGHT.
PARTY RAGE hung in the score up and over the initial stages of the race.
SHANTAHLIA KNIGHT was caught wide rounding the first bend, improved to race one out without cover and weakened from inside the 700 metres finishing well back. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
CHARMING DESIRE over-raced during the middle stages when at the rear.
Driver J. Dickie (JOANEDNOBETTOR) was charged under Rule 869(2)(a) on the grounds that he used his whip excessively over the latter stages. The charge was admitted with the J.C.A. imposing a fine of $400.00.

MR NATURAL broke at the start losing several lengths.
SEA EYRE broke for a couple of strides and was slow away.
DANKE broke shortly after the start losing ground.
GREY STOKE broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground.
CREAMEE hung inward and then broke rounding the first bend, settling quickly.
DONNA MAY broke passing the 1800 metres losing its chance.
CREAMEE broke losing its chance approaching the 400 metres.
ACOUGARZSUN dislodged a pylon passing the 300 metres.
GREY STOKE, which was out of contention, broke again rounding the final bend.
Driver T. Macfarlane (MR NATURAL) reported that he sustained a flat tyre during the running.
