Race 1 BISHOPDALE/BUSH INN TABS & TAVERN HAREWOOD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
LAUGHING CAVALIER was back at the start despite the efforts of the driver.
Near the 700 metres SPECIAL DELIGHT had to be steadied for a short distance when awkwardly positioned near the wheel of LAUGHING CAVALIER which shifted inwards after locking wheels with FRANCO CALIPH.
NUI TOC TIEN raced wide from the 700 metres.
AS KIWI AS was held up on the final bend by the weakening RED RIVER LOCHEE.
B White (LAUGHING CAVALIER) dropped his leg momentarily in the run home.
S Murtha (NUI TOC TIEN) drove for a considerable distance in the early stages of the run home with his foot free of the sulky foot rest. Consequently Mr Murtha was charged under Rule 867 and fined $100 by the JCA.
Stewards questioned B Wilmott as the driver of AS KIWI AS regarding his decision not to improve outwards near the 550 metres into the three wide line and instead elect to remain on the back of RED RIVER LOCHEE which had begun to weaken. After considering his explanation and reviewing the video footage Stewards issued Mr Wilmott with a charge under Rule 868(2) in that he had failed to take every reasonable and permissible measure to ensure his runner received every opportunity to finish in the highest possible placing. Mr Wilmott admitted the breach and after considering penalty submissions had his Amateur Horseman's licence suspended up to and including 17th August 2016 and was in addition fined the sum of $300.

FAMILY NIGHT broke in the middle stages of the score up losing considerable ground.
LIGHTWORKOFIT broke in the latter part of the score up losing considerable ground. This gelding was placed on the unruly for its upcoming mobile starts at the request of trainer D Burrows.
ELVIS P broke shortly after the start.
DEVA JONES raced keenly in the middle stages.
MOTU GREAT SENSATION was held up leaving the final bend.
 
Race 3 CAVELL LEITCH MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
SICILIAN SECRET was a length out of position at the start with the driver I Schwamm warned to make a better effort in future.
ARTICULIGHT broke passing the 1600 metres.
SICILIAN SECRET raced keenly near the 1400 metres and had to be restrained after becoming awkwardly positioned near the sulky wheel of HOPEFUL HARRIET.
ARTICULIGHT raced keenly near the 1000 metres.
POW WOW BROMAC was held up in the early stages of the run home and had to shift ground inwards near the 200 metres to improve.
Driver D Dunn reported that he had not activated the removable deafeners on the winning ON THE RANTAN.
 
Race 4 ENJOY RETIREMENT JOHN MORRIS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
LLOYDIN MAGIC broke racing towards the first bend and in doing so hampered PORT DELIGHT.
SHAKIN IT UP also broke entering the first bend with a warning placed on the filly's racing record. PORT DELIGHT was again disadvantaged at this time and had to shift ground.
LLOYDIN MAGIC broke again on several occasions. A post race veterinary examination showed no apparent abnormalities with the mare stood down to trial on one occasion. Trainer M House advised he will be making adjustments to the horse's hopple length prior to this.
SARAH KATE broke near the 150 metres.
 
Race 5 TELTRAC COMMUNICATIONS LTD HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
MISSANDEI broke at the start. This filly will now be drawn unruly at the request of trainer B Negus.
TWELVE MONKEYS broke near the 2100 metres.
AMARETTO SUN over raced in the middle stages.
DOCTOR BONES over raced in the middle stages and then broke near the 650 metres when awkwardly positioned near the wheel of TESSA'S ROCKET.
 
Race 6 WALKER DAVEY SEARELLS LTD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
WELL ARMED raced roughly on the final bend and lost ground.
Near the 150 metres WELL ARMED broke when in restricted room between CELESTIAL ARDEN and BOOSTER which both shifted ground.
Driver T Williams reported he did not activate the deafeners on the winner G I JOE.
 
Race 7 CROMBIE LOCKWOOD MOBILE TROT Video  Video 
There was a slight delay to the start of this race when HE'S LIKE THE WIND had to have a sulky change.
KO WRECTED trotted roughly and was back at the start.
KO WRECTED broke passing the 1400 metres.
KING OF THE ROSES raced wide in the early and middle stages.
WE'LL MEET AGAIN over raced in the middle stages.
KING OF THE ROSES broke passing the 700 metres.
HE'S LIKE THE WIND weakened passing the 500 metres and then broke near the 350 metres inconveniencing WE'LL MEET AGAIN and ROYAL KENNY which both broke. A warning was placed on the racing manners of HE'S LIKE THE WIND.
THE GOD BOTHERER had difficulty obtaining clear racing room over the final 100 metres.
 
Race 8 NEXIA NEW ZEALAND MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
JEWELZ over raced in the middle stages.
IT'S ALL OVER NOW weakened near the 1000 metres.
Near the 950 metres WOZNIACKI raced roughly for a stride when making contact with the sulky wheel of REAL RAIDER. J Harrington was shown the films and warned for the manner in which he drove at this time.
CIMARRON and MOTU LIGHTNING LASS locked wheels near the 450 metres inconveniencing REAL RAIDER and BEST DEFENCE which both had to shift ground.
JEWELZ tired on the final bend inconveniencing GOTTA DEL and THATS FINE JULIUS with THATS FINE JULIUS breaking as a result.
When questioned regarding the performance of GOTTA DEL trainer T Barron advised the horse had endured a tough run when leading and had noticed the rise in class of opposition.
 
Race 9 HAMPTONS ITM MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
DIAMOND SUPREME over raced in the score up.
LAVROS VANCE paced roughly in the early stages.
FIREY SU raced roughly near the 1750 metres and had to be steadied over some distance by driver J Morrison.
DYNAMO broke briefly passing the 1500 metres.
LAVROS VANCE raced keenly in the middle stages.
B Butt as the driver of JUNIOR was spoken to and reminded that he was to drive his runners out fully at the end of the race when in a stakes bearing position.
DIAMOND SUPREME was held up near the 400 metres behind the tiring DYNAMO.
