Race 1 MID-WINTER CHRISTMAS STARTS JUNE 24 MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
DAZZLE N DAZE raced greenly shortly after the start shifting DORRIE D wider which momentarily placed first starter NINOTCHKA in cramped quarters resulting in the filly tangling for a few strides.
AYMAR broke for several strides racing into the first bend, settling quickly.
RAKSMACH improved from second last rounding the home bend along the running line into tight quarters inside of MACHINEGUNS N GEMS and was held up inside the 150 metre mark until the 50 metre mark. Driver S. Lawson was unable to activate the removable deafeners on this gelding.
AYMAR, racing three deep rounding the final bend, was held up until early in the home straight.

SEA EYRE broke at the start losing considerable ground and its chance.
MAJESTIC GAL broke passing the 1750 metres causing a check to GIN, TORBJORN and YOUNG STRANGER. A warning was placed on the racing manners record of MAJESTIC GAL.
Approaching the 1700 metres there was an easing of the pace in the two wide line resulting in FRANCO NADAL galloping at the rear and losing approximately 20 metres. FRANCO NADAL broke again passing the 500 metres when racing at the rear.
NATURAL broke approaching the 250 metres.
DARK OPS broke approaching the entrance to the passing lane resulting in severe checks to HOT CHOCOLATE TART and GIN. A warning was placed on the racing manners of DARK OPS. Stewards reviewed the video coverage with Junior Driver A. Poutama with the assistance of Senior Driver Z. Butcher, and spoke to him advisedly in regard to the manner in which he reacted restraining the galloping DARK OPS.
An investigation was held into the breaking of NATURAL (J. MacKinnon) which was being improved off the back of the tiring leader DARK OPS into a restricted position to its outside with MOMENT OF TRUTH (P. Ferguson) shifting inward at the same time. MOMENT OF TRUTH was inclined to lay in racing round the bends. After hearing from both Drivers J. MacKinnon and P. Ferguson no further action was warranted other than to advise Mr Ferguson to exercise greater care.

BEVAN'S CULLEN contacted pylons rounding the final bend.
MR EUROMAN was held up early in the final straight, having to shift ground inwards approaching the 100 metres to obtain clear running.
Driver B. Mangos advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners on the winner BEVAN'S CULLEN.
An information was lodged alleging a breach of Rule 869(3)(f) and/or 867 in that Driver B. Mangos drove BEVAN'S CULLEN improperly allowing his right foot to contact the off hind leg of his horse and or drive with his foot out of the foot rest of the sulky. The breach was not admitted and the J.C.A. adjourned the hearing to be heard prior to Race one at Alexandra Park on Friday 24th June 2016.
 
Race 4 WWW.TIGERMULTI.CO.NZ FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
Stewards granted Driver T. Macfarlane permission to drive MILLVIEW SIENNA.
There was a delay to the start as DOUBLE SHOT required the services of the blacksmith after throwing a shoe in its preliminary.
GLITZY GAL paced roughly passing the 1400 metres. Driver S. Lawson was shown the video coverage of his drive on RAKARAZOR when he attempted to take the trail in behind LINCOLNS KEEPSAKE with GLITZY GAL racing to its inside with that mare reacting by pacing roughly. Mr Lawson was warned to exercise greater care.
 
Race 5 MICO DESIGN GRASS TRACK GRADUATE SERIES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
No claims were lodged for SHANTAHLIA KNIGHT.
CHEVRONS EASY broke passing the 1150 metres losing its chance with DARJEELING BROMAC, EVERLASTING GRACE and SHANTAHLIA KNIGHT taking evasive action. A final warning was placed on the racing manners record of CHEVRONS EASY.
 
Race 6 KEVIN WEHIPEIHANA MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
Trainer D. Balle (SIR GEORGE GREY) was charged a colour fee of $25.00.
YAGUNNAKISSMEORNOT (favourite), from its 30 metres handicap settled last, improved three wide from the 1150 metres reaching one out without cover with 600 metres to run and weakened inside the 400 metres, beaten 28.1 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than a slow recovery. The connections are to carry out a further veterinary examination in the upcoming days.
Trainer T. Vince advised that KD HALL lost both front shoes during the running.
 
Race 7 CARTERS TYRE SERVICES KERIKERI HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
Trainers A and L. Neal (VENTIMIGLIA) were charged a colour fee of $25.00.
SUNSET PEAK and MOB STAR both broke at the start losing all chance.
Junior Driver T. Cameron (ACOUGARZSUN) momentarily dropped his foot from the sulky foot rest when activating gear passing the 150 metres.
ACOUGARZSUN threw the off front shoe passing the 100 metres.
 
Race 8 DUNSTAN HORSE FEEDS GRASS TRACK GRADUATE SERIES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
No claims were lodged for ELLIOT DANIEL and ON THE RAZZLE.
PRINCESS KATE broke when in the lead racing into the first bend settling three deep on the running line. A warning was placed on the racing manners record of this mare.
PRINCESS KATE lost a front shoe during the running.
Driver B. Mangos momentarily dropped his foot when activating gear on AMBRO COURAGE.
 
Race 9 THE ALEX BAR & EATERY TROT Video  Video 
GALLEONS VICTORY broke at the start losing its chance.
HARRY H broke shortly after the start and continued in a gallop for some distance before taken wider on the track, taking no serious part in the race.
LINDY'S DREAM broke racing into the first bend losing its chance.
CHEVRONS SWEETHEART broke passing the 400 metres.
