Race 1 NZ HARNESS TIPS / OTB BREAKFAST TROT Video  Video 
The rein pricker was removed from MR PRESTON at the start.
There was a slight delay to this race starting when MR PRESTON lunged at the barriers and had to be turned away.
DUCHESS GRACE began awkwardly.
ONE NIGHT OUT broke briefly shortly after the start on two occasions.
After 150 metres SUNNY BILL broke and lost ground.
Near the 1100 metres SUNNY BILL broke again losing further ground. Driver R Close reported the gelding had been uncomfortable in the track conditions.
SOUTH COASTER weakened on the final bend after racing parked throughout. When questioned regarding the run of this horse driver S Golding explained the horse had been unsuited to racing parked and in his opinion may not have backed up from the first day.
Authorisation of fourth place being awarded to SUNNY BILL was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied that the gelding had complied with the breaking horse regulations (on both occasions).
MR PRESTON and IT'S HOW YOU USE IT raced greenly in the early stages of the run home.
Driver G Smith advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners on the winner IT'S HOW YOU USE IT.
 
Race 2 NJ BUSINESS SERVICES LTD / DOWNER NZ MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
FREAK LIKE ME broke shortly after the start.
Passing the 300 metres YUKON CLOUD had to briefly be steadied when awkwardly positioned between the sulkies of REGAL GRIN and HES FAST AND FURIOUS.
TIROL'S ROCKET hung inwards under pressure throughout the run home. When questioned regarding the run of this horse driver D Dunn advised the gelding had travelled well throughout but disappointed him when asked for an effort in the final stages.
BLACK ART and SUPERMOSHI had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
 
Race 3 WEEKENDER RACE SULKY PACE Video  Video 
KOWHAI KING reared as the start was effected and lost ground. A warning was placed on this gelding's barrier record.
FRANCO TODDY was crowded in the early stages between GLENFERRIE CLASSIC and MEGA WATT which both shifted ground.
FRANCO GARCIA broke at the start with a warning placed on the gelding's barrier record.
After about 100 metres LAVISH LUSTRE broke and a warning was placed on this mare's barrier record.
LOLITA FRANCO over raced in the middle stages.
M Jones (GLENFERRIE CLASSIC) briefly dropped his leg on occasions during the running when activating gear.
LAVISH LUSTRE was held up rounding the final bend.
 
Race 4 MORE FM / THE CAR COMPANY MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
GOTTA TICKET broke in the score up and would not settle for a considerable distance. A warning was placed on its barrier record.
VELOCETTE over raced in the middle stages.
HANDOVERTHEDOUGHFLO weakened rounding the final bend.
MELANIE OHARA was held up in the early stages of the run home.
VELOCETTE was unable to gain clear racing room throughout the run home.
 
Race 5 TOMMY BEHRNS HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
Trainer T Trathen was issued a $50 Minor Infringement Notice after he was late to notify I'M NOT EYRE would be racing with the addition of a pacifier.
As the start was effected INSIGNIFICANT backed away and lost ground.
BOURBON AND DRY broke shortly after the start.
BOURBON AND DRY weakened passing the 550 metres.
THE GOD BOTHERER broke near the 500 metres.
I'M NOT EYRE broke near the 150 metres.
 
Race 6 WESTPORT TROTTING CLUB MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
FEEL REAL raced wide in the early stages.
BETTOR LUCK over raced throughout.
FRANCO SAXON raced keenly in the middle stages.
BURN OFF broke leaving the final bend inconveniencing DANSE MACABRE and JEDI JOSH who had to shift wider on the track. A subsequent veterinary examination showed no apparent abnormalities. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
LETSPENDANITETOGETHA had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
 
Race 7 PALMS MOTEL NELSON HANDICAP PACE Video  Video 
AVEROSS BRACHOLE was a late scratching at 8.00 am with a Veterinary certificate provided.
ARIZONA ATOM was a late scratching at 11.40 am with a Veterinary certificate provided.
PAUL'S VERDICT refused to come into its rightful barrier position and broke as the start was effected.
ALLISON STOKKE broke at the start.
DROVER'S EYRE raced keenly in the middle stages when positioned to the outside of the leader.
CROFT BAY over raced through the back straight on the final occasion causing Driver S Ottley some difficulty near the 700 metres.
ALLISON STOKKE had to be steadied passing the 150 metres when CORINGA DELIGHT (W Higgs) shifted ground outwards. Driver W Higgs was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in the future.
Driver W Higgs was unable to activate the removable hood on CORINGA DELIGHT due to the cord becoming entangled in the hopple shorteners. Mr Higgs then dropped his leg momentarily from the footrest over the final stages.
 
Race 8 NELSON PINE INDUSTRIES NELSON WINTER CUP (HANDICAP PACE) Video  Video 
BETTOR BUY IT was a late scratching at 12.17 pm due to the downgrade in track conditions.
G Smith was issued with a $100 minor infringement notice for being responsible for the late presentation of IDEAL ARDEN onto the track.
ARCANO and PAY ME ART began awkwardly.
TIJUANA BROMAC broke at the start.
PAY ME ART raced keenly through the middle stages.
TAITTINGER ROSE had to be steadied passing the 150 metres when JOEY MAGUIRE (R Houghton) shifted ground outwards. Driver R Houghton was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in the future.
C A PENNY slipped its over check during the running.
Drivers B Orange (HIGHVIEW FREDDY) and R Houghton (JOEY MAGUIRE) were spoken to regarding the manner in which they used their whip over the concluding stages.
 
Race 9 DIAMOND RACING STABLES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ASTRO BOY was a late scratching at 3.00 pm due to track conditions.
There was a delay to the start of this race due to MOLLY SIMS having to be returned to the stables to have a new sulky attached.
MOLLY SIMS was a length out of position at the start. Driver J Dunn was advised to make a better effort to be in position at the start.
Driver S McNally (SHARDS HALO) accidentally dropped his whip over the concluding stages.
