Race 1 NRM EVOLVE 4YO DIAMOND (MOBILE PACE) Video  Video 
DALNESS XCHANGE was a late scratching on veterinary advice after arriving at the start with blood in both nostrils. The connections were advised the mare is stood down for the mandatory 90 days under Rule 213(1)(j) and will be required to trial on one occasion and a veterinary certificate of fitness to be provided.
CHANGE THE RULZ gave ground rounding the final bend after racing three wide throughout.
EXPRESSIVE VICTOR was held up in the early stages of the run home.
BETTER B AMAZED lay outwards when Driver S Phelan activated the gear near the entrance to the passing lane.
MISS DAISY was held up in the early stages of the run home only obtaining clear room inside the final 50 metres.
 
Race 2 MITRE 10 MEGA CAMBRIDGE 2YO RUBY (MOBILE TROT) Video  Video 
The required vet clearance was received for MORTICIAN.
MADHUBALA broke in the score up and was a considerable distance out of position at the start.
ENGHIEN broke late in the score up losing several lengths again breaking shortly after the start.
MORTICIAN broke passing the 1400 metres resulting in the trailing CUSTODIAN and WAR MACHINE having to be steadied with WAR MACHINE breaking. EYRISH MIST and MADHUBALA were also inconvenienced having to take evasive action. A warning was placed on the racing record of MORTICIAN.
Favourite ENGHIEN broke losing ground passing the 700 metres. When questioned regarding the performance Driver R May believed the gelding was still a winning chance at the 700 metres however had just raced greenly again and in his opinion may derive benefit from a spell.
CUSTODIAN shifted out abruptly despite the efforts of Driver M Purdon over the concluding stages.
 
Race 3 RA & JV YARNDLEY 2YO DIAMOND (MOBILE PACE) Video  Video 
JEWEL ON THE BEACH paced roughly entering the first bend and then broke near the 1400 metres.
SPANISH ARMADA hung outwards and raced wide without cover from the 900 metres.
JEWEL ON THE BEACH had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home with driver J Dickie dropping his leg momentarily from the sulky footrest when activating gear.
PAY ME OVERS locked stays with CINDY BROMAC approaching the 200 metres. In consequence when CINDY BROMAC shifted outwards when freeing sulkies, STRAWBERRY STRIDE was hampered.
 
Race 4 STALLIONS AUSTRALASIA 4YO RUBY (MOBILE TROT) Video  Video 
The required vet clearance was received for QUEVERT.
THE ALMIGHTY JOHNSON broke late in the score up.
ROYAL SHINE broke shortly after the start.
PRINCESS MACKENDON, AMARETTO SUN and HARRIET OF MOT broke entering the first bend.
PARAMOUNT DREAM broke near the 900 metres again breaking near the 750 metres.
THE ALMIGHTY JOHNSON broke over the concluding stages.
A protest was lodged against the 4th placing of ROYAL SHINE (D Dunn) on the grounds that this gelding galloped excessively over the early stages of the race in breach of the Breaking Horses Regulation. The connections did not contest the protest and the JCA disqualified ROYAL SHINE promoting YAGUNNAKISSMEORNOT to 4th placing and SUNNY RUBY to 5th placing.
 
Race 5 DUNSTAN FEEDS 3YO DIAMOND (MOBILE PACE) Video  Video 
RR SAND DOLLAR paced roughly on several occasions. A subsequent vet examination revealed no abnormalities.
ARDEN'S CHOICE and LUISANABELLE MIDFREW raced wide throughout.
DREAM ABOUT ME was held up in the early stages of the run home.
 
Race 6 NRM EQUI-JEWEL 2YO EMERALD (MOBILE PACE) Video  Video 
VASARI over-raced and was awkwardly positioned to the back of MORE THE BETTER passing the 950 metres. This resulted in the colt breaking causing LAMBROS to be forced wider on the track.
THE LONE RANGER broke approaching the 900 metres causing checks to MONGOLIAN STORM and RHYTHM N BLUES with RHYTHM N BLUES shifting outwards and locking stays with the improving MORE THE BETTER. Also in this incident KING SOLOMON was checked and broke when being forced over markers. BILLY BADGER was also inconvenienced during this incident. The connections of THE LONE RANGER were advised that the colt had been stood down for 14 days. The connections advised this colt would now be spelled.
KING SOLOMON broke with 550 metres to run inconveniencing the trailing BILLY BADGER.
Driver M McKendry advised LAMBROS was striking the sulky discs.
 
Race 7 SOVEREIGNTY 3YO RUBY TROT (MOBILE TROT) Video  Video 
A minor infringement notice was issued and a $100 fine imposed on Trainer P Williamson for presenting BLAZING UNDER FIRE without the notified blinds.
BLAZING UNDER FIRE broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
LEMOND broke passing the 1150 metres forcing MARCOOLA and DARK OPS wider on the track.
CONON BRIDGE stumbled near the 1100 metres.
ROYAL WILLIE broke passing the 450 metres.
SUNNY AFTERNOON broke approaching the 400 metres.
MISSANDEI broke passing the 400 metres inconveniencing the trailing CONON BRIDGE and SUNNY AFTERNOON which was already in a break.
MARCOOLA broke near the 100 metres. Authorisation of the 5th placing was withheld until such time Stewards were satisfied that the horse had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
A warning was placed on the racing record of MISSANDEI.
When questioned regarding the performance of MARCOOLA, Driver C Ford advised the colt had to work too hard during the running otherwise could offer no other tangible explanation.
 
Race 8 NRM ASSET 4YO EMERALD (MOBILE PACE) Video  Video 
TITAN BANNER was back slightly from the mobile barrier at despatch.
FRANCO TEXAS weakened round the final bend impeding the progress of LITTLE RASCAL.
HUG THE WIND (B Mangos) broke when giving ground near the 300 metres when racing in restricted room between FRANCO TEXAS and ROBBIE BURNS (T Williams) resulting in RISK and THE FAITHFUL having to take evasive action. After hearing from Drivers B Mangos and T Williams and viewing the films Stewards were unable to solely apportion blame onto any one driver and no further action was taken.
 
Race 9 SWEET LOU AT WOODLANDS 3YO EMERALD (MOBILE PACE) Video  Video 
INNOCENT ARTIST over raced in the early stages.
WALKINSHAW shifted out near the 1000 metres when Driver T Herlihy was activating gear before being corrected back to race outside the leader.
HEAVEN ROCKS lay inwards into the passing lane early in the run home despite the efforts of Driver M Purdon.
KENRICK was held up throughout the home straight when unable to obtain a run inside MAJOR BEN in the passing lane.
The authorisation of the 2nd placing of MAJOR BEN was withheld at the request of the connections of the 4th placed KENRICK to enable them to view the video coverage of the run home to ascertain whether they had grounds to Protest. It was established that MAJOR BEN, which was trailing the leader HEAVEN ROCKS, was entitled to establish itself in the passing lane prior to KENRICK, which was racing three deep on the running line, attempting to improve to its inside. The connections of KENRICK elected not to proceed with a Protest and placings were duly authorised.
