DESTINY JONES (Race 3) was re-handicapped to unruly #3 off 10 metres after winning at the NZMTC's meeting on 21 April 2016.

Stable representative T Williams has advised Stewards that following its disappointing performance last weekend at Ascot Park, blood tests taken from GRAND RAINBOW have revealed that the gelding was suffering from a virus which is now being treated.
Race 9 - ALABAR SOUTHERN SUPREMACY STAKES FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
Trainer N McGrath has advised Stewards that CLASSIE BRIGADE was feeling the effects of recent racing when running second at Invercargill last week and consequently has been sent for a brief spell. Mr McGrath added that the colt will go to the trials before resumption in preparation for the Harness Jewels.

Race 1 WELCOME TO RANGIORA CLASSIC RACEDAY MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
KARANGA SWEET P (J Young) contacted the outside sulky wheel of THE GOLDEN CROSS (G O'Reilly) shortly after the start when being eased to take cover behind this runner. This resulted in the tyre deflating and coming off the rim obliging Mr O'Reilly to retire THE GOLDEN CROSS from the event. In consequence to this Miss Young (assisted by senior horseman D Dunn) admitted driving carelessly at this stage of the race and after hearing submissions on penalty at which Miss Young expressed her preference under Rule 1304(1)(b)(i)to take a 7 day deferment, the JCA suspended her Junior Horsewoman's licence from the end of racing on 1 May 2016 up to and including 13 May 2016 (3 days).
KARANGA SWEET P hung inwards in the middle stages.
COMPLIANT was inclined to lay inwards when racing round the bends and throughout the straight on the final occasion.
HES FAST AND FURIOUS contacted track markers rounding the final turn when awkwardly placed to the inside of COMPLIANT.

RECIPE FOR DREAMING hung inwards when improving with 1800 metres to run.
ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED raced greenly through the early stages of the run home before breaking.
SMACKWATER JACK lay inwards through the early stages of the run home.
CLAUS was inclined to lay outwards and was held up briefly in the early stages of the run home.
FLAMBOYANT was also held up through the early and middle stages of the run home and was forced over track markers when attempting a marginal run nearing the 200 metres.
SHADOWMAN hung inwards and raced greenly over the concluding stages.

MISSANDEI broke at the start losing its chance.
ALL STAR ANGUS broke briefly as the start was effected, hung inwards rounding the bends and trotted in an uneven fashion in the run home with driver T Williams unable to drive the gelding out with any vigour.
MY SKY trotted roughly nearing the 500 metres before breaking. This gelding broke again with 200 metres to run.

THATS FINE JULIUS was out of position at dispatch. Driver D Reardon was cautioned to maintain his barrier until dispatch in future.
CORINGA DELIGHT over-raced briefly through the middle stages.
CHANGEOVER A FLYIN was held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
 
Race 5 KOTARE DOWNS RANGIORA 3YO STAKES (MOBILE PACE) Video  Video 
KOTARE KASAI over-raced throughout and was held up in the run home with driver G Smith advising he was not afforded the opportunity to activate the filly's sliding blinds.
REAL COURAGE struck a track marker on the final bend and paced roughly when under pressure throughout the run home.
ONEDIN'S DELIGHT was held up for clear racing room in the final stages of the run home.
 
Race 6 J D & E A PROPERTIES FFA PACE (STAND) Video  Video 
KARANGA RED FANTASY, GRADUATE UNDER FIRE and C A PENNY broke as the start was effected.
WOODLEA LEGEND was placed in restricted room by KOTARE YAEL when entering the first bend. Driver J Dunn was issued with a caution to allow runners to his inside sufficient room in future.
KARANGA RED FANTASY was held up for clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home.

CULLECT A GUINNESS hung inwards through the middle stages and throughout the run home.
LEWY RISK and CHRISTEN ME struck track markers nearing the 1100 metres.
Driver B Orange dropped his foot from the sulky rest when activating the removable deafeners on LOCHARBURN with 600 metres to run.
MIGHTY FLYING MAC struck pylons on the home turn.
 
Race 8 GULLIVER & TYLER FUNERAL DIRECTORS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ALAN GOLIGHTLY broke in the score up causing interference to runners on the second line with a false start being declared. This gelding was sent to the unruly position for the re-start where it will remain for future mobile events.
BEST DEFENCE raced wide without cover in the early stages and commenced to weaken with 500 metres to run.
RED RIVER LOCHEE over-raced through the middle stages.
BRIDGET BLUE CHIP was held up through the early stages of the run home.
MOLLY SIMS hung inwards in the home straight.
BOOSTER was momentarily placed in restricted room and had to be steadied when racing between LIVING LEGEND and SWISS LASS nearing the 50 metres.
DANA DAWN was held up for clear racing room in the home straight with driver R Close advising he did not activate the gelding's removable deafeners.
 
Race 9 COUNTRY FEASTS HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
The rein pricker was removed from GREAT THINGS HAPPEN prior to the start after the gelding warmed up unfavourably.
TORNADO VALLEY broke as the start was effected.
GREAT THINGS HAPPEN began awkwardly.
SANTORINI SUNSET broke with 500 metres to run and failed to settle.
AILE ROUGE struck a pylon on the home turn.
OTTAWA was held up for clear racing room in the early and middle stages of the run home.
Driver G Smith advised he did not activate the removable deafeners on the winner GREAT THINGS HAPPEN due to having the field covered.
 
Race 10 McMILLANS PROTEIN PLUS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
MUSIC raced keenly and paced roughly momentarily passing the 1000 metres.
CORROBOREE commenced to tire from the 500 metres causing an inconvenience to GABBY'S STAR.
MANY OPTIONS paced roughly on several occasions throughout the running.
