Race 1 HALL OF FAME TROT Video  Video 
LE REVEUR mixed its gait for several strides and was slow to begin veering outwards.
HABIBI INTA broke at the start losing approximately five lengths.
THEBESTLOVE broke at the start losing 20 metres. This gelding was declared unruly for standing starts at the trainer's request.
AGNES BROWN broke shortly after the start momentarily inconveniencing IL PIRATA. AGNES BROWN lost considerable ground and this mare broke again passing the 1200 metres and was pulled up.
EVERYBODY KNOWS was shifted four and five wide racing down the back straight the last time with horseman R. May easing back, then shifting inward in an attempt to save ground.
THEBESTLOVE was caught four and five wide rounding the final bend.
GINTARAS was held up rounding the final bend and again in the run home inside the last 100 metres when attempting to improve inside MAKAREWA JAKE.
ISA SMILING broke passing the 200 metres and failed to settle.
Driver B. Orange encountered difficulties activating the removable deafeners on HABIBI INTA early in the run home.
EVERYBODY KNOWS was removed from the unruly list for standing starts.

BET OUT OF ELL pulled a punctured sulky wheel tyre over final 250 metres. Driver P. Butcher advised that the gelding had been contacting its own sulky wheels and that it lay out rounding the final bend and paced roughly.
MOTOWN was held up rounding the final bend.

THE PRINCE broke for a few strides at the start and was slow away.
RARE OPPORTUNITY broke near the 2300 metres and trailed the field for the remainder.
NEVER FEAR, after improving three wide in the middle stages to race parked, began to weaken approaching the 700 metres inconveniencing WHITNEY which in turn inconvenienced SIR GEORGE GREY which broke when being eased off the back of WHITNEY.
An investigation was held into a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule when THE PRINCE raced four wide passing the 1300 metres with LITTLE MO (C. Ford) racing to his inside. Stewards reviewed the video coverage with Driver C. Ford and it was established that he had improved to a three wide position and that Junior Driver A. Poutama had elected to improve THE PRINCE four wide around that runner.

BETTOR THINK QUICK raced fiercely over the early stages when being restrained.
VALOR LUSTRE raced four wide from inside the 800 metres.
TAKE TO THE SKY, LIBERTY STYX and JO'S DREAM were held up rounding the bend and over the early stages of the run home.

GERSHWIN trotted roughly in the latter part of the score up and was three lengths out of position at the start.
HIGH GAIT broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
WILMA'S MATE broke rounding the first bend inconveniencing TEMPORALE before settling at the rear of the field.
GERSHWIN broke approaching the 1400 metres and was taken wider on the track recovering quickly at the rear of the field.
GERSHWIN lost contact with the field inside the last 600 metres.
WILMA'S MATE ran wide entering the final straight and continued to shift out under pressure.
The authorisation of the 4th placing of HIGH GAIT was withheld until such time that Stewards were satisfied that this horse had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in regard to its gallop over the early stages of the race.
CONON BRIDGE which led the field throughout weakened inside the last 300 metres finishing 8th beaten 12 lengths. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
 
Race 6 WOODLANDS STUD CADUCEUS CLUB 2YO FILLIES CLASSIC (MOBILE) Video  Video 
PLEASURABLE over-raced over the early stages when racing outside the leader.
SPANISH ARMADA over-raced in the middle stages.
LINCOLNS SUPERSTAR raced three wide for the first 1100 metres.
READY TO FIRE failed to maintain the trailing position behind the leader from inside the 900 metres which impeded SPANISH ARMADA which did not clear this runner until approaching the 700 metres. READY TO FIRE continued to weaken out and finished well back. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
RENSKE B (T. Williams) paced roughly and broke for a stride approaching the 800 metres losing a length when racing inside STRAWBERRY STRIDE (T. Herlihy) which was improving forward and crossing that runner. An investigation was held into this incident with Stewards questioning T. Williams and T. Herlihy and reviewing the video coverage. The evidence was inconclusive and did not support a charge being preferred.
MILLWOOD DAISY gave ground from inside the 800 metres and finished well back. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.

BETTOR SPIRITS failed to get clear racing room throughout the run home.
LITTLE RASCAL raced in restricted room late in the run home when weakening.
 
Race 8 H.R. FISKEN & SONS 2016 ANZAC CUP (MOBILE) Video  Video 
SHEEMON broke shortly after the start recovering after galloping 80 metres to settle at the rear of the field.
QUITE A MOMENT broke approaching the 1900 metres losing its chance.
WATERLOO SUNSET broke approaching the 400 metres.
VALMAGNE broke near the 300 metres.
SCARRYMCLEARY contacted pylons rounding the home bend.
SHEEMON trotted roughly near the 100 metres.
 
Race 9 FRANKLIN LONG ROOFING MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CULLEN WHO pulled fiercely in the score up and was a length out of position at the start. This filly continued to race greenly and fiercely over the initial stages of the race when being restrained back in the field.
GLITZY GAL failed to get clear racing room over the latter stages of the run home.
CULLEN WHO (favourite) finished 9th, beaten 5.2 lengths. Driver D. Dunn advised that he commenced improving the filly passing the 1200 metres, however, UANDMEBABE improved outwards in front of it so he elected to shift back to the two wide line as he felt he would have got caught three wide. Mr Dunn improved again inside the 700 metres three wide without cover and was shifted to a four wide position rounding the home bend. Although he was disappointed with the filly's run, he did comment that the filly raced very greenly and was still learning its craft.
An investigation was held into an incident inside the last 100 metres when driver B. Orange attempted to improve SUPRIYA inside the line of KILKEEL LADY (K. Marshall) resulting in his mare running out of room and contacting pylons. It was established that ECLIPSE ME (M. McKendry) which led the field in for the run home began to weaken when KILKEEL LADY and SUPRIYA were racing inside its line resulting in SUPRIYA shifting over the marker line. No one driver was found to be at fault.

THE CROWN JEWELS broke at the start losing several lengths.
SUNDOWN IN PARIS broke at the start losing considerable ground and its chance. SUNDOWN IN PARIS was placed on the unruly for standing starts at the trainer's request.
BLAZING UNDER FIRE (favourite) broke at the start losing considerable ground and its chance.
DUKE CASTLETON broke passing the 100 metres.
VERY PERSUASIVE failed to get clear racing room throughout the run home. Junior Driver J. MacKinnon advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners.
THE CROWN JEWELS was held up for the majority of the run home.
GIN was was removed from the unruly list for standing starts.
