Race 8 - GRAND PARK RESTAURANT FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
Subsequent to the meeting Trainer R. Mackenzie advised Stewards that a further veterinary examination had confirmed that FIZZI LIZZI had no respiratory issues and that the mare would race in future with a tongue tie.

Subsequent to the meeting Trainer T. Vince advised Stewards that he had blood taken from KD COMMANDO which detected an infection which has since been treated.

Race 1 KIDSCAN HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
No claims were lodged for YALDY BOYZ and MOMENT OF TRUTH.
THE CROWN JEWELS broke at the start and trailed the field throughout.
THE PRINCE broke shortly after the start.
HIGHLAND STAR broke over the early stages.
DUKE CASTLETON broke approaching the first bend.
YALDY BOYZ broke passing the 150 metres and failed to settle.
DUKE CASTLETON broke near the 100 metres losing all chance.
Authorisation of the 2nd placing of THE PRINCE was withheld to enable Stewards to view the replay of the run home after THE PRINCE raced over several track markers when looking for a run to the inside of MAKAREWA JAKE which was shifted inwards by GINTARAS when that gelding was securing clear running. The Panel were satisfied that Drivers M. Anderson (THE PRINCE) and R. Brosnan (GINTARAS) had shifted ground simultaneously when looking for clear racing room and that blame could not be solely attributed to either driver.
 
Race 2 EDDIE & MARGE HOPKINS 'WHO DARED TO DREAM' MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
TACHYON (favourite) paced roughly and broke for several strides shortly after the start, settling towards the rear. TACHYON raced greenly on a number of occasions and was forced three wide passing the 700 metres before failing to run on finishing in 7th place, beaten 12.3 lengths. A warning was placed on the filly's mobile barrier manners. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.
RUEBE DESIRE lost contact with the body of the field from inside the last 700 metres, finishing at the rear.
 
Race 3 FIRSTFLEX CABLES MOBILE TROT Video  Video 
NATURAL broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
SAINT MICHEL broke inside the 1800 metres after contesting for a position in the one out running line with LEMOND. Drivers B. Mangos (SAINT MICHEL) and M. McKendry (LEMOND) were questioned regarding this incident and after hearing the relative evidence and viewing the replays no further action was deemed necessary other than to note the circumstances.
GEORGE broke approaching the 1150 metres and settled at the rear.
SEA EYRE broke passing the 700 metres, losing its chance.

The start was delayed due to a sulky wheel on RUNCLE requiring replacement.
AURORA BROMAC broke at the start losing all chance. LAMBROS and IN FULL FLIGHT were both inconvenienced in this incident when taking evasive action. A warning was placed against the mobile barrier manners of AURORA BROMAC.

NO WAY ELSE was held up briefly by the weakening SANDPARK SENATOR approaching the 400 metres.
 
Race 6 DON SMITH APPRECIATION MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
DIKERRY paced unevenly when being eased back after the start.
 
Race 7 FRANKLIN LONG ROOFING HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
NEVER FEAR broke approaching the 2200 metres losing considerable ground.
DJOKOVIC, when racing in the trail behind the leader, broke for several strides approaching the 1300 metres resulting in a check to BOBBY BREEN which momentarily shifted ground outwards checking SIR GEORGE GREY which broke losing its chance. While in a gallop SIR GEORGE GREY impeded the progress of AL BUNDY which was racing on its back. A warning was placed on the racing manners of DJOKOVIC.
FRANCO NADAL tended to over-race during the middle stages when trailing the leader and then commenced to give ground from the 400 metres.
DJOKOVIC trotted roughly passing the 600 metres.
NEVER FEAR trotted roughly and gave ground near the 400 metres.
BOBBY BREEN broke passing the 350 metres losing all chance.
 
Race 8 WOODLANDS STUD WEANLING SALE JUNE 3 MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
SUPRIYA over-raced in the middle stages.
TUAPEKA SKY briefly locked wheels with DESTINED FOR HEAVEN inside the 200 metres.
 
Race 9 FRANKLIN YEARLING PARADE JULY 30 MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
BETTOR DREAM (favourite) showed gate speed but was obliged to race outside the leader throughout when unable to secure the lead which was held by CULINARY DELIGHT. BETTOR DREAM was then unable to make ground in the run home to finish in 5th place beaten 3.2 lengths.
 
Race 10 LINCOLN FARMS TROT Video  Video 
HARRY H, WAR MACHINE and ANGUS FOGG broke over the early stages, with HARRY H and WAR MACHINE losing all chance.
LOVE THE MOMENT was slow early and then inconvenienced by galloping runners.
LOVE THE MOMENT broke approaching the 300 metres losing all chance.
CHEVRONS SWEETHEART, which led up, trotted roughly in behind throughout the running and in particular over the final stages when under pressure.
Authorisation of the 3rd placing of CHEVRONS SWEETHEART was withheld until it was confirmed that this mare had not broken gait until after the winning post. Driver J. Dunn advised that the mare's shoeing would be changed to attempt to rectify the problem.
