IDEAL EAGLE (favourite) raced one out without cover until the 1000 metres. When this filly received cover it appeared to pace unevenly rounding the final bend and failed to run on finishing 8th, 10.2 lengths in arrears of the winner. A post-race veterinary inspection found no abnormalities. Stable representative Z. Butcher advised that the filly would be further vetted subsequent to the meeting and undertook to advise Stewards should anything surface which would explain the disappointing performance. | |
