Race 1 THE HINDRUP HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
STEADFAST broke at the start losing considerable ground effectively all chance. STEADFAST was declared unruly for stands at the request of trainer C Cox.
TEHORO HAZEL broke racing into the first bend continuing in a break for some distance and losing all chance.
MALABAR SPUR broke near the 2300 metres losing several lengths.
TORPEDO RUN broke passing the 1800 metres losing considerable ground.
ABOVE THE REST compounded passing the 1000 metres and was pulled up near the 800 metres. Stewards ordered a veterinary examination of ABOVE THE REST which revealed the mare was suffering from the early stages of a respiratory infection. Trainer W Chittenden was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to ABOVE THE REST resuming racing.
RARANGI JEWEL struck a marker pylon on entering the run home. Driver B Weaver was reminded of his obligations in respect to Passing Lane Regulations.
BIM BOM BAY trotted roughly and broke near the 150 metres with this gelding failing to settle thereafter.
 
Race 2 TOTALLY VETS SERVICES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
STRAWB'S CHIPPIE balked approaching the 1700 metres and despite the driver's efforts lost ground coming back onto TENACIOUS BROMAC which had to take evasive action with ZARA BROWN being badly hampered in consequence.
STRAWB'S CHIPPIE after improving to race outside the leader passing the 1200 metres again baulked and gave ground rapidly shifting wide and losing ground. When questioned regarding the performance of STRAWB'S CHIPPIE driver J Abernethy reported that, in his opinion, the mare may have been distracted by shadows on the eastern end of the race track and that consequently he would be recommending the addition of a shadow roll for the second day of the meeting this coming Sunday. Trainer P Scott was advised that a warning had been placed against the racing manners of STRAWB'S CHIPPIE.
OLIVER QUEEN and ZARA BROWN locked wheels briefly near the 1100 metres.
MITCHELL MCKAH commenced to weaken near the 300 metres resulting in the trailing ZARA BROWN becoming held up for a short distance.
TENACIOUS BROMAC ran out and broke passing the 250 metres, shifted out in the line of MITCHELL MCKAH which when taking evasive action shifted out badly hampering ZARA BROWN.
Driver R Close did not activate the removable deafeners in the run home on KASH due to the mare being comfortably in the lead.
 
Race 3 STEPHEN DOODY RACING STABLES HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
LITTLE BRO broke at the start losing considerable ground.
CLIFDEN CLOWERS broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
NO BACARDI DAMIT lay out passing the 300 metres dictating THE PRINCE wider for a short distance.
Stewards withheld payment while investigating the positioning of NOTRE DAME immediately prior to the start. After consideration the Stewards elected not to proceed with an objection. However junior driver K Marshall was reminded of his obligations with respect to his positioning of an unruly horse at the start.
Driver R Close (KOWHAI WHIZ) did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field well covered.
LITTLE BRO was declared unruly for stands at the request of trainer P Scaife.
 
Race 4 1ST SIGNS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
Trainer A Stuart was issued with a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 after GALLANT was presented with the incorrect saddle cloth.
COTTONWOOD raced fiercely in the score up.
GO PADDY paced roughly and broke approaching the first bend losing several lengths.
SIFTY TUESDAY was inclined to over-race in the middle stages on a moderate tempo.
COTTONWOOD raced wide through the early stages until being improved to a parked position near the 1600 metres.
GO PADDY compounded passing the 700 metres and on returning to scale was observed to be displaying respiratory issues. Stewards ordered a veterinary examination of GO PADDY which was consistent with an upper airway respiratory issue. Trainer T Harris was advised that a veterinary clearance, including the results of a satisfactory endoscopic examination, would be required prior to GO PADDY racing again.
THE CROFTER broke near the 200 metres losing its chance.
Driver A Donnelly (SIFTY TUESDAY) was reminded of her obligations when shifting ground after improving outward passing the 700 metres inconveniencing STRAWB'S REGAL ACT.
 
Race 5 MAINLINE FARRIER SUPPLIES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CHEQUEME ROSIE paced roughly when being restrained near the 1800 metres with CHEQUEME ROSIE then laying in when making the bend near the 1200 metres.
EXTRA GUINNESS over-raced in the trail in the middle stages.
BRANDY commenced to give ground near the 500 metres inconveniencing the trailing RIO GRANDE and RANGI RANGDU.
LADY MOLLY hung inwards under pressure near the 250 metres.
 
Race 6 ROSIE O'GRADY'S MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
JANRON was held up and unable to improve passing the 700 metres and was denied clear racing room for the majority of the run home.
SHAPEOFTHINGSTOCOME was held up in the early stages of the run home.
HONEY SMITH brushed several pylons over the final stages.
OUR WICKLOW was cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
 
Race 7 SPEEDY SIGNS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
STAGGER LEE was caught wide rounding the first turn so was restrained to the rear to obtain cover.
ISLAY raced keenly in the trail throughout.
STAGGER LEE lay in passing the 50 metres and when being straightened paced roughly for two strides.
 
Race 8 OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY (LTD) MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
MISS BADLANDS paced roughly and broke near the 1800 metres and was eventually pulled up. Driver S Abernethy reported that the near side hopple shortener had come adrift shortly after the start which in his opinion contributed to the mare breaking.
JACK BATES over-raced through the middle stages.
FAST OFFICIAL lay inwards when racing greenly near the 500 metres contacting the offside sulky wheel of GOD'S DELIGHT.
JERICHO ROAD and RIGHTEOUS ROYALE locked sulky wheels briefly near the 450 metres.

PRINCESS KATE over-raced in the trail during the middle stages.
AMBRO COURAGE commenced to weaken near the 400 metres hampering the trailing PRINCESS KATE which became held up for a distance.
