GOGIRL BROMAC broke approaching the 700 metres dropping back on to ROCKY SIX and MOKOSUN, with MOKOSUN galloping for several strides. A warning was placed on the racing manners of GOGIRL BROMAC.

Race 4 R S FLOOR COATINGS MOBILE PACE Video  Video
THE DECIDER broke at the start forcing GIVETHEJOBTOJOYCE to take evasive action with THE DECIDER losing considerable ground. This mare was subsequently stood down for 14 days.
Rounding the first bend COTTONWOOD raced in restricted room to the inside of LADY MARIA having to be steadied. Driver A Pyers was warned under Rule 869(4) in that he must allow sufficient room to runners on his inside when shifting ground.
LADY MARIA paced roughly for several strides near the 1750 metres.
An investigation was held into an incident near the 1250 metres where LADY MARIA ended up three wide after TABELLA JET shifted away from the marker line. It was established that TABELLA JET had been clear to commence to shift after COTTONWOOD, which had been racing to its outside, had improved forward three wide with LADY MARIA then improving forward to the outside of TABELLA JET resulting in LADY MARIA being caught three wide. No further action was deemed necessary.
TABELLA JET then commenced to race fiercely approaching the winning post to receive the bell and broke briefly near the 900 metres when being restrained off the back of TENACIOUS BROMAC.
Passing the 350 metres TABELLA JET contacted the near side sulky wheel of LADY MARIA, which had commenced to give ground, and then shortly after got its off foreleg caught up in the sulky tyre of LADY MARIA which had come away from the rim resulting in TABELLA JET falling and severely checking THE DECIDER. LADY MARIA was retired from the event. HANOVER ALERT and SIOUX EYRE were both forced wider on the track when having to take evasive action. An investigation was held into this incident and it was established that LADY MARIA had sustained a punctured tyre in the incident near the 1150 metres when LADY MARIA and TABELLA JET locked wheels. It was further established that driver A Pyers had shifted his mare wider on the track passing the 400 metres when it had commenced to weaken and that this had presented a half gap which TABELLA JET had improved into despite the efforts of driver J Cox with the contact to LADY MARIA's sulky wheel occurring shortly afterwards. After considering the matter blame could not be solely attributed to either driver or horse and no further action was taken on this occasion.
TABELLA JET underwent a veterinary examination after this event which revealed minor abrasions which required treatment by the Veterinarian.
