Race 1 BISHOPDALE/BUSH INN TAB'S & TAVERN HAREWOOD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
HANDLEBAR HANK raced fiercely in the score up and broke for a short distance nearing the start point with the gelding a length out of position in consequence. Stewards placed a warning on the gelding's barrier record.
REDMARO raced roughly for a short distance in the middle stages of the score up but recovered to fully take up its position in the start.
SMOKIN CHICK (T Sissons) and BOOSTER (M Maynard) were out of position at the start with both drivers warned that in future they were to make a better effort to remain in their position until the starting point.
DONEGAL JIMMY DAVE raced wide through the early stages before being taken forwards to lead near the 1400 metres.
Near the 1400 metres BILLY JACK over-raced and in consequence became awkwardly positioned near the sulky wheel of HANDLEBAR HANK for a short distance.
HANDLEBAR HANK and BILLY JACK over-raced throughout the middle stages.
Near the 900 metres BOOSTER shifted inwards causing BRUTE UTE ANVIL to race in restricted room and had to be steadied by driver B White with the gelding racing roughly and losing approximately one length. Amateur driver M Maynard was shown the films and issued with a warning for his driving at this time.
BRUTE UTE ANVIL weakened passing the 400 metres inconveniencing REDMARO who was held up until near the 250 metres.
B White as the driver of BRUTE UTE ANVIL was reprimanded for allowing his gelding to shift out under pressure on the final bend and advised in future he is to exercise a greater level of care in similar circumstances.
S Blake as the driver of SELESTER was issued with a warning for the use of her whip when out of contention.
Winning driver S Manawatu reported that he had not been able to activate the deafeners or the sliding blinds on FLYIN HEATHER due to the cord becoming entangled.
 
Race 2 LAMB & HAYWARD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
MISS JUDGEFORD raced three wide in the early and middle stages.
CHANGE OF HEART over-raced in the middle stages.
BUCKEYE weakened passing the 500 metres. When questioned with regard to the run of his gelding Co-trainer/driver J Geddes was unable to offer any explanation for its disappointing efforts. A post-race veterinary examination of BUCKEYE revealed a slow recovery rate. Stewards will follow this up with the connections in the coming days.
MISS JUDGEFORD tired from the 400 metres.
 
Race 3 XCM SPORT MOBILE TROT Video  Video 
BO GALLEON broke in the score up and lost ground.
THE FOX broke at dispatch.
POPPA DON and TOPNOTCH TITAN broke shortly after the start with ALLINEEDISAMIRACLE being hampered by the breaking POPPA DON.
CHIVILCOY broke after approx 100 metres.
NATIVES BRITE GEM broke when being taken forwards to lead near the 1600 metres losing ground.
LOOK AHEAD broke nearing the 1400 metres.
NATIVES BRITE GEM broke again nearing the 850 metres.
LADY ANGUS and ALLINEEDISAMIRACLE were briefly held up near the 300 metres.
BENCHMARK broke passing the 75 metres.
Winning driver G Smith reported he had not activated the deafeners on ROYAL SHINE due to the gelding trotting roughly.
M Howard as the driver of BENCHMARK was warned for allowing his gelding to trail a sulky wheel for some distance in the back straight on the final occasion.
 
Race 4 ALABAR SIRES' STAKES FILLIES SERIES (HEAT 3) MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
MELANIE OHARA weakened on the final bend.
EMILY BLUNT hung inwards throughout with driver R May having to correct the filly on several occasions throughout the final straight.
When questioned regarding the performance of SECRET NOTION driver D Dunn explained the filly didn't appreciate the fast tempo of the race and rise in class.
 
Race 5 GRAPHITE DEVELOPMENTS LTD SHOW DAY FUTURITY CONSOLATION(MOB) Video  Video 
FEARCE FALCON and ART I AM struggled to take up their position behind the mobile and were several lengths back at dispatch.
LOVE THAT GUEST raced roughly through the early stages and was steadied by driver J Dunn.
LOVE THAT GUEST then raced wide until being taken forwards to lead near the 1600 metres.
Near the 2200 metres FEARCE FALCON briefly over-raced and became awkwardly positioned near the wheel of TOOT TOOT with K Cox having to restrain her gelding. As a result of this the trailing ART I AM and MOSSDALE LUCKY had to be restrained when the pace was eased appreciably.
ALSA LUSTRE gave ground near the 350 metres.
HANNAH EXTREME shifted outwards near the 400 metres and made contact with FEARCE FALCON who broke and lost ground with ART I AM, MOSSDALE LUCKY and KARANGA SWEET P all being inconvenienced in consequence. Stewards questioned drivers J Curtin and K Cox regarding the incident and after hearing their explanations issued Mr Curtin with a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he had shifted outwards in a careless manner. Mr Curtin admitted the breach and the JCA imposed a fine of $300.
 
Race 6 NRM SIRES' STAKES SERIES NO.32 SILVER MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
FORMULA ONE was out of position at dispatch with driver R Houghton warned to make a better effort to take up his position in future.
CELESTIAL ARDEN hung inwards under pressure on the final bend and struck pylons.
FORMULA ONE was briefly held up on the final bend.
 
Race 7 TYRE GENERAL TROT Video  Video 
The start of this event was delayed one minute at the request of the TAB.
NEED SUCCESS, ROYDON'S JEWEL and CHIVASION broke as the start was effected.
Near the 1700 metres MONTMORENSY, MOMENTOUS, ROYDON'S JEWEL and CHIVASION all had to be steadied when the pace in the running line eased.
LITTLE MO improved wide from the 800 metres.
HENLEY PARK was held up in the early stages of the run home.
MARCOOLA trotted awkwardly over the final stages.
J Harrington as the driver of HEY YO was reminded of the correct procedure for the starting position of unruly horses.
B Williamson as the driver of WINNERS SHOUT was spoken to and warned for allowing his gelding to trail a wheel for a short distance near the 700 metres.
 
Race 8 AVON CITY FORD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
AVEROSS RUSTLER raced wide in the early and middle stages.
AVEROSS RUSTLER over-raced in the middle stages when positioned outside the leader.
FREE FALLING was held up on the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
LEIGH MAJOR had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home and had to shift outwards near the 150 metres to improve its position.
Only one sliding blind activated on ALEXY in the run home.
When questioned with regard to the performance of DANA DUKE driver T Bagrie explained he was disappointed with his horse's efforts and felt the gelding may not have benefited from his workload being decreased after its first up run. Mr Bagrie added it was the stable's intention to alter the horse's training prior to it resuming.
 
Race 9 TELTRAC COMMUNICATIONS LTD HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
DANKE began awkwardly as the start was effected.
ROCKET stood on the mark and lost its chance.
PRESTINE broke momentarily through the early stages.
OCTOBER RAIN broke near the 1800 metres checking the trailing SONEY BEATT and DANKE with all three runners losing their chance.
OTTAWA raced keenly in the middle stages.
XMAS JOYELLA trotted roughly passing the 800 metres before breaking.
PYRAMID MONARCH commenced to tire from the 400 metres. Driver B Williamson reported his mare was slow to recover following the event and it was now their intention to increase its workload prior to resuming.
 
Race 10 CHRISTCHURCH CASINO MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
FRANCO SANCHEZ broke racing into the first bend when awkwardly positioned to the inside of KINGI HONE KIRA and behind the restraining CORINGA DELIGHT and MONGOLIAN ARCHER, After speaking with drivers T McMillan (FRANCO SANCHEZ) and S McNally (KINGI HONE KIRA) regarding this incident it was established that FRANCO SANCHEZ had hung outwards simultaneously as KINGI HONE KIRA hung inwards resulting in FRANCO SANCHEZ's outside leg striking the sulky of KINGI HONE KIRA which caused it to break. Given the circumstances no further actions were warranted.
MONGOLIAN ARCHER over-raced in the parked position throughout.
KINGI HONE KIRA hung inwards and raced roughly under pressure rounding the final bend.
 
Race 11 SPECTATORS OPEN 'TIL LATE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
The boring pole was removed from KOMPRESSOR at the start after warming up unfavourably.
BETTOR'S POWER was out of position at dispatch despite the efforts of driver J Dunn.
RICHMOND HILL raced fiercely through the early stages causing driver C DeFilippi some difficulty.
AMERICAN VOGUE hung inwards under pressure on the final bend and struck pylons.
SKETCHING tired from the 500 metres and was taken wider on the track by S Golding however soon after hung inwards inconveniencing BETTOR'S POWER.
ROYAL JESTER had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
A BETTER LOVER shifted outwards under pressure in the run home taking BETTOR'S POWER wider on the track.
K Grant (DOVER DELIGHT) was issued with a warning for the manner in which she used her whip when out of contention throughout the final straight.
