The blood tests confirmed that there was an irregularity which resulted in a build up of lactic acid. As a result they advised they would not be racing their team for a period of 2 weeks.
Pre race blood testing was conducted.

Race Comments
Race 1 WAKARI PRIMARY SCHOOL PACE Video  Video
Trainer T Barron admitted a Breach of Rule 849(2) in that he presented WHATA EXCUSE with the incorrect saddle cloth number and he was fined $100.
The start of this race was delayed due to several horses breaching the barrier strand.
NEVER EYRE was slow to begin.
THE EDGE OF REASON broke at the start.
GIVE ME THE NIGHT and GOTTA LAUGH both raced keenly through the middle stages when the pace eased.
THE EDGE OF REASON hung inwards when improving three wide near the 500 metres.

Race 2 EDGAR CENTRE HANDICAP TROT Video  Video
BELMONT'S GREATEST broke at the start and veered out sharply.
PRINCE GEORGE broke briefly in the early stages.
MOTU TRENDSETTER trotted roughly and broke racing into the first bend. MOTU TRENDSETTER then broke on several occasions throughout the running.
STARGOSDAUGHTER broke rounding the first bend with the trailing BELMONT'S GREATEST also breaking after being hampered.
ELTSUNAMI also broke rounding the first bend.
PRINCE GEORGE broke near the 350 metres.
ILLUSTRIOUS QUEEN broke near the 300 metres and impeded the trailing PRINCE GEORGE which raced inside several pylons. PRINCE GEORGE then had to be steadied outwards to avoid the breaking ILLUSTRIOUS QUEEN in the home straight.
Over the concluding stages ELTSUNAMI hung outwards and momentarily lost its momentum when improving into a marginal gap.
Stewards withheld authorisation of first placing being awarded to ELTSUNAMI until it was confirmed the gelding had not breached the Breaking Horse Regulations through the early stages of the race.
The Stewards also withheld authorisation of fourth placing being awarded to PRINCE GEORGE until they were satisfied that PRINCE GEORGE had not gained an advantage when racing inside pylons just prior to the home straight and also that it had received interference from the breaking ILLUSTRIOUS QUEEN.
The Stewards requested a veterinary examination of the favourite MOTU TRENDSETTER after Driver D Dunn was unable to offer any explanation for the gelding breaking repeatedly throughout the race. The examination failed to detect any abnormalities.
Driver R Close (PRINCE GEORGE) reported that only one sliding blind activated.

Race 3 ALAN POULSEN ENGINEERING MOBILE PACE Video  Video
Trainer W Low (LOOSE CANNON) was charged a $25 colour fee.
THE BLACK was obliged to race three wide from the 1200 metre mark after being unable to improve its position.
MACH OF THE MAN gave ground from the 600 metres with the trailing TUBBY JIM being held up.
Stewards requested a veterinary examination of MACH OF THE MAN after giving ground from the 600 metre mark. The examination revealed the gelding was showing signs of a respiratory distress with a veterinary clearance required prior to the gelding resuming racing. Trainer T Stratford advised it was his intention to withdraw MACH OF THE MAN from its engagement at the Wyndham Meeting on Sunday 8th November 2015.
Driver D Dunn advised he elected not to activate the removable deafeners on the winner TINTINARA due to having the field well covered.

Race 4 RICOH HANDICAP TROT Video  Video
RUBY'S JEWEL broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
QUEEN KENNY (D Dunn) broke on the first bend when racing to the inside of BLAZING UNDER FIRE (B Williamson) after contacting the sulky wheel of BLAZING UNDER FIRE. BLAZING UNDER FIRE broke shortly afterwards.
GORILLA PLAYBOY over raced between the 600 and 400 metres.
BLAZING UNDER FIRE hung outwards in the home straight with QUEEN KENNY having to be briefly steadied.
GORILLA PLAYBOY was briefly impeded by the tiring GRACE LIGHTNING passing the 200 metre mark.
The Stewards questioned driver B Williamson with the assistance of M Williamson and driver D Dunn in relation to the incident on the first bend. After speaking to all the drivers concerned it was established that GRACE LIGHTNING was being restrained when QUEEN KENNY and BLAZING UNDER FIRE were progressing forward rapidly to obtain prominent positions. Simultaneously to this incident ARMORI was racing in close proximity to QUEEN KENNY. As a result Mr Dunn attempted to restrain QUEEN KENNY after he had run out of racing room due to the above factors causing it to break. Due to the contributing factors no further action was taken against any one horseman.

Race 5 PINELEA FARMS/STUNIN CULLEN SPRINT SERIES MOBILE PACE Video  Video
A false start was declared after the mobile barrier vehicle lost power at the dispatch point which resulted in a number of runners striking the mobile arm and breaking. The vehicle was tested prior to the restart with no issues detected.
BILLY KLONDIKE broke badly in the second score up and took no serious part in the event.
FIRST FLIGHT IN paced roughly during the latter stages of the score up. FIRST FLIGHT IN was then obliged to race three wide after unsuccessfully challenging for the lead over the early stages.
SIMPLY FUN paced roughly rounding the first bend.
FIRST FLIGHT IN gave ground from the 400 metre mark.
ROYAL CAROLINE was held up through the early stages of the run home and near the 150 metres had to be steadied when becoming awkwardly placed on the sulky wheel of LIVE TO TELL. Driver R Close (ROYAL CAROLINE) was warned for the manner he drove in the home straight when striking the sulky wheel of LIVE TO TELL.
HUDSON SULLY was inclined to hang outwards throughout the run home.

Race 6 SPORT OTAGO MOBILE PACE Video  Video
R Payne was a late driver change on SHARDS HALO replacing G Payne who advised the Stewards he was unwell.
ROYAL JESTER raced wide in the early stages prior to being restrained to a rearward position near the 1600 metres.
SHARDS HALO over raced through the middle stages.
Passing the 1100 metre mark SHARDS HALO (R Payne) shifted ground outwards forcing ROSTRIEVER VICTORY (C Ferguson) to race three wide.
CLIFTON FORCE gave ground from the 700 metre mark after working hard through the early stages.
The favourite ITZ IVY HILLIS was forced to race four wide without cover from the 700 metre mark.
ITZ IVY HILLIS (B Orange) had to be restrained near the 100 metre mark when ROYAL JESTER (G Payne) shifted ground outwards to obtain clear racing room.
FIRST SON was restrained over the concluding stages when becoming awkwardly placed on the sulky wheel of BETTER DELIVER.
Driver G R Payne (ROYAL JESTER) was warned for the manner he drove in the home straight.
The Stewards questioned Drivers R Payne and C Ferguson in relation to when ROSTRIEVER VICTORY was forced to race three wide near the 1100 metre mark. Mr Ferguson advised he had shifted ground outwards marginally on his own accord briefly and then had attempted to shift back inwards however SHARDS HALO (R Payne) had taken the vacated position. Mr Payne advised his horse had been over racing and he shifted outwards when Mr Ferguson had presented a marginal gap. He advised Mr Ferguson had then attempted to shift back inwards however due to his horse over racing he was unable to restrain the mare. After hearing from both drivers no further action was required.
