Race 1 - JOHN DUNN OWNS A CHEVRON QUALITY CAR MOBILE PACE
Trainer P Court has advised Stewards that CABLE BEACH had recovered well from its disappointing run at Addington last Friday with no signs of soreness. Mr Court further advised that the entire will now be sent for a brief spell.
Race 10 - CRAN DALGETY OWNS A CHEVRON QUALITY CAR PACE
Trainer J Howe has advised Stewards that BUGSY MALONE has shown no ill effects from its disappointing run at Addington last week. Mr Howe was of the opinion that the gelding switched off after being held up adding that BUGSY MALONE has trained satisfactorily this week and will line up at Rangiora on Thursday.

Co-trainer A Edmonds has advised Stewards that following the disappointing run of EILISH AIMEE at Kaikoura on Monday, blood tests have revealed that the mare was suffering from a blood infection which is now being treated. Miss Edmonds further advised that EILISH AIMEE would be sent for a brief spell while recovering.

Race 1 BISHOPDALE/BUSH INN TAB'S & TAVERN HAREWOOD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
THE FLYING SCOTSMAN was trapped wide without cover in the early stages.
FRANCO CALIPH hung inwards when improving with 1000 metres to run.
LIVE JAZZ gave ground from the 600 metres.
Driver S Blake briefly dropped her foot from the sulky foot-rest when activating the removable deafeners on SPECIAL DELIGHT when passing the 350 metres.
BILLY JACK broke briefly leaving the final bend.
VANHALEM paced roughly near the 250 metres.
THE FLYING SCOTSMAN was placed in restricted room late in the run home after SCANRECO BAY shifted ground outwards. Driver A Edge (SCANRECO BAY) was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
Driver R Sissons (FRANCO CALIPH) placed 4th, lodged a protest against the 3rd placing of BILLY JACK (M Hallett) alleging a breach of the Push Out Rule with 1400 metres to run. After viewing the films and hearing evidence, the JCA dismissed the protest.
Driver A Edge (SCANRECO BAY) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in that he used his whip in an excessive manner in the run home. After hearing submissions on penalty the JCA imposed a suspension of two days up to and including 27 November 2015 and a fine of $200.
 
Race 2 GUY FAWKES MOBILE TROT Video  Video 
ESPRESSO SHOT and TOPNOTCH TITAN broke in the score up with ESPRESSO SHOT losing all chance.
DUSKY EYRE and FRANCO HELIOS broke at the start.
BEG HALL and TOPNOTCH TITAN broke after 100 metres.
JANA'S WISHES broke racing into the first bend and again with 1450 metres to run.
MERLOT trotted roughly on the home bend and in the home straight.
SEA EYRE ran wide when leading near the 300 metres losing ground before recovering to finish second. A warning was placed on the racing manners of SEA EYRE.
Authorisation of 1st placing being awarded to BEG HALL was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the colt had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations when breaking in the early stages.
 
Race 3 CATHERINE WHEEL PACE Video  Video 
The start was delayed due to SPINYBACK, STONEY EYRE and TUAPEKA ART charging the barrier strand.
Drivers B Butt (STONEY EYRE) and R Payne (TUAPEKA ART) were warned for delaying the start.
A warning was placed on the barrier manners of SPINYBACK.
CRIMSON GLORY broke at the start.
STONEY EYRE tangled away.
SPINYBACK hung inwards in the middle stages.
TUAPEKA ART paced roughly in the run home.
Driver R May (MAXIMUS PRIME) advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
Trainer/driver T McMillan advised that CRIMSON GLORY would be restricted to mobile starts where possible in future.
 
Race 4 CRACKER BOX FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
The start was delayed by four minutes due to the previous race running late.
RR SAND DOLLAR broke after 150 metres and again near the 1400 metres.
CULLENS FIRST MEDDLE hung inwards on the final bend crowding BELLA JONES which struck several pylons.
JUDY JETSON was held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages. Driver T Chmiel advised that he did not activate the sliding blinds.
 
Race 5 SPARKLER MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
The start was delayed by three minutes at the request of the TAB.
KOMPRESSOR hung inwards when progressing around the field at the 1400 metres.
JUDYS MCARDLE (M Edmonds) was placed in restricted room near the 1200 metres for a short distance after DREAMY DAMIEN (C DeFilippi) attempted to improve into the trail. Driver C DeFilippi was warned for the manner in which he drove at this stage.
JUDYS MCARDLE and KARANGA SWEET P gave ground on the final bend.
STAR FANTASY hung inwards throughout the run home.
TIROL'S ROCKET had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room over the concluding stages.
 
Race 6 TOM THUMB HANDICAP PACE Video  Video 
LIVING LEGEND reared prior to the start.
RIGA DOON and SEEL THE DEAL came together as the start was effected with SEEL THE DEAL breaking.
THE LION'S ROAR also broke at the start.
OHOKA BENSON tangled away.
LIVING LEGEND was held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
FAIR DINKUM BROMAC and OHOKA BENSON hung inwards in the early stages of the run home.
STATHAM ran outwards in the home straight. Driver B Williamson was shown a replay and warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
 
Race 7 CRACKERJACK MOBILE TROT Video  Video 
FIREMAN broke in the early stages losing its chance.
GETAWAY DOUG broke with 500 metres to run after driver N Burton activated the removable deafeners on the gelding.
DONSMEDAD hung inwards on the final bend and struck several pylons.
Driver S Golding (UNYIELDING SPIRIT) was warned to ensure his whip remains inside the confines of the sulky.
When questioned regarding the performance of DANKE, trainer/driver M Jones reported that in his opinion the gelding had not backed up from its last start and it would now be his intention to space the gelding's races.
 
Race 8 MT VESUVIUS PACE Video  Video 
PERFECT CIRCLE, YOU BETTOR RULE and HARD N FAST broke at the start.
DIAMOND RULE was hampered by the breaking PERFECT CIRCLE at the start.
BUGSY MALONE paced roughly racing into the first bend and was trapped wide in the early stages when improving.
OMAR SHARIF was held up rounding the final bend.
CULLEY BACKY hung outwards in the run home.
YOU BETTOR RULE had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
PERFECT CIRCLE struck a pylon near the 150 metres.
OMAR SHARIF hung inwards over the concluding stages.
When questioned regarding the performance of PERFECT CIRCLE, driver G Smith advised that although the gelding had lost ground in the early stages he had been disappointed with the horse's effort. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding with trainer P Burrows.
 
Race 9 TAKE CARE WITH FIREWORKS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
RUMMAGE was trapped wide in the early stages.
FINDING NEMO was held up in the early stages of the run home.
Driver T Williams advised that he was unable to activate the sliding blinds on SUPRIYA.
Driver J Dunn advised that only one deafener had activated on SHANTAHLIA ROMEO.
