At the request of the TAB Race 5 was delayed by 6 minutes to allow for a major delay at Addington Raceway. This resulted in the start times of Race 6 and Race 7 being put back five minutes, starting at 9.00 pm and 9.30 pm respectively.

Race 1 COCA-COLA MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
STUNNING SHADOW paced roughly then broke briefly at despatch losing ground. Co-trainer D. McGowan was advised that a warning was placed on this gelding's barrier manners.
CHEERS STRIDE was inclined to over-race in the middle stages.
EYE BROW raced greenly in the early part of the run home and shifted out.
 
Race 2 CROMBIE LOCKWOOD HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
SOUTH COASTER and LOFTY broke shortly after the start, with LOFTY settling well back.
LOFTY broke again near the 300 metres when well back.
DONNA MAY broke near the 200 metres and came back on to SOUTH COASTER which was inconvenienced for a short distance.
CLOVER CHANCE broke near the 20 metres.
The authorisation of the payment of the third placing of CLOVER CHANCE was withheld by Stewards until it was confirmed that this gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation and was not in breach of Rule 870(5) as it was not lapped on by the 4th placed runner. The margin was one and a half lengths between 3rd and 4th placing.

PLATINUM BELLE broke prior to despatch losing several lengths.
PLATINUM BELLE broke again near the 1300 metres losing considerable ground. When questioned regarding the breaking of PLATINUM BELLE, Driver Z. Butcher reported that in his opinion the filly had struck a knee which had caused it to go off stride both prior to the start and at the 1300 metres. Trainer B. Purdon was advised that a warning had been placed against the mobile barrier manners of this filly.
MILLVIEW SIENNA was held up rounding the final bend and failed to obtain clear racing room throughout the run home. Driver T. Macfarlane advised that he was unable to activate the removable deafeners on MILLVIEW SIENNA.
 
Race 4 MAJESTIC HORSE FLOATS HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
MOMENT OF TRUTH was claimed from this event by Mrs R. Balle.
There was a delay of 4 minutes when a false start was declared after the 10 metre starting barrier became entangled around the legs of TORBJORN.
THANKS SHANE broke at the start losing considerable ground.
STAR FILLY trotted away slowly.
I GOT RHYTHM raced keenly for a distance when outside the leader passing the 1000 metres.
STAR FILLY broke passing the 600 metres losing its chance.
MAKAREWA JAKE was held up rounding the final bend before being angled inwards to improve near the 150 metres.
TORBJORN had difficulty obtaining clear racing room over the final 300 metres.
VENTIMIGLIA raced in restricted room over the final 150 metres and was unable to improve.
YALDY BOYZ trotted roughly over the final stages.

Trainer J. Stormont was charged a $25.00 colour fee for CHARLESTON BELLE.
There was a six minute delay to the start of this race at the request of the TAB due to a major delay at Addington Raceway.
RIVER POLKA broke at the start and ran in inconveniencing DELIGHT BRIGADE.
UNFORGIVING was slow to begin.
VOLUNTAD was inclined to lay in rounding the bends over the early stages.
UNFORGIVING (S. Reid) improved three wide to cross to a two wide position with 1300 metres to run. GOD FORBID (J. Abernethy) which had trailed UNFORGIVING forward three wide then improved to reach the one out without cover position with 1100 metres to run. UNFORGIVING then commenced to over-race as the field approached the 1000 metres, and simultaneously as GOD FORBID was momentarily steadied, this resulting in UNFORGIVING contacting the near side sulky wheel of GOD FORBID. GOD FORBID pulled a flat tyre from that point and over the latter stages of the race the tyre came adrift off the rim resulting in Driver J. Abernethy easing the horse to the rear of the field.
VOLUNTAD was held up for the majority of the run home only obtaining clear running near the 80 metres.
RIVER POLKA had to be angled wider passing the 200 metres in order to improve.
 
Race 6 DUNSTAN SPEED SERIES STARTS 30TH OCTOBER HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
ALL ROYAL GAL broke at the start losing all chance.
REALMEIN broke passing the 400 metres refusing to settle.
WHITNEY was held up rounding the turn and only obtained clear racing room near the 75 metres.
KD HALL broke at the 150 metres.
REGAL PETITE was held up for the majority of the run home, only obtaining clear running passing the 50 metres.

Race 8 TENDER FOR HIGHVIEW TOMMY & PEGASUS SPUR MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
WIMBALIRI broke passing the 2400 metres losing ground.
ATOMIC FALCON broke passing the 400 metres when being eased wider on the track and racing to the outside of WIMBALIRI. The connections advised that the gelding broke of its own accord.
WYNBERG COURAGE was held up behind the weakening SOUL MAN passing the 350 metres, with SOUL MAN striking a pylon shortly after when hanging in.
ELLIOT DANIEL was held up for the majority of the run home only obtaining clear racing room approaching the 50 metres.
Junior Driver T. Lethaby reported that he was unable to activate the removable deafeners on ELLIOT DANIEL.
