Race 1 KUBALA SEEDS LTD GORE/SWITZERS VALLEY TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
Driver B McLellan was late to arrive on course to take his drive on ANNIE FITZ in this event. When spoken to regarding this Mr McLellan advised that he had been stopped by Law Enforcement Officers on the away to the track and had been subject to a lengthy roadside delay.
ANNIE FITZ raced keenly over the middle stages when there was an easing of the pace.
COMBIEN (R Swain) broke with approximately 250 metres to run when racing between ZENA'S STAR (K Barclay) and GENUINE EXCUSE (K Larsen). The Stewards questioned drivers K Barclay, R Swain and K Larsen in relation to the incident near the 250 metres where COMBIEN broke. After speaking to all drivers concerned the Stewards charged Mrs K Barclay with Careless Driving pursuant to Rule 869(3)(b) alleging she drove carelessly when shifting ground near the 250 metres causing tightening to COMBIEN which broke as a result. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from K Larsen, R Swain, K Barclay and the Stewards the JCA upheld the charge and imposed a suspension of Mrs Barclay's licence to drive from the conclusion of racing on the 3rd of October 2015 until the 18th October 2015 inclusive. Driver N Williamson reported he did not activate the removable deafeners on the winner WALTZING QUEEN.
 
Race 2 SIR LINCOLN AT LINCOLN FARMS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
PARNELL raced greenly through the early stages.
Near the 1400 metres HOKURI HANGOVER which was over racing became awkwardly placed on the outside wheel of WHATA EXCUSE.
FRANCO CORTESE compounded from the 800 metres and was subsequently retired from the event by driver A Armour. Stewards requested a post race veterinary examination of FRANCO CORTESE which revealed the gelding to have possibly displaced a palate. Trainer M Brown advised he would have a follow up veterinary examination of FRANCO CORTESE and undertook to report any findings.
PARNELL and HOKURI HANGOVER gave ground over the final 500 metres. The connections of HOKURI HANGOVER advised the gelding would now be sent for a spell prior to resuming racing.
GETTHEEXCUSEBOOKOUT and BETTER DELIVER were both held up on the final bend by the tiring LUCAS.
LUCAS which was racing in tight quarters struck pylons just before the home straight then broke after shifting into the Passing Lane near the 200 metres. A warning was placed on the racing manners of LUCAS. The connections advised LUCAS would now be sent for a spell.
EL CARTEL ducked inwards sharply with 100 metres to run and ran inside pylons. The Stewards were satisfied that EL CARTEL had not gained any advantage at this stage with no further action required.
 
Race 3 WAIKAIA HOTEL MOTEL & RESTAURANT CLAIMERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
DECEITNDESIRE hung on the bend near the 1400 metres and was unable to maintain its trailing position.
THINKING SMART raced keenly when leading throughout.
FRANCO SYNERGY hung inwards near the 1300 metres dislodging a pylon.
JESSICA SANCHEZ paced roughly and broke for a few strides approaching the 800 metres when being angled out three wide to improve its position.
CARLETTA which was commencing to give ground had to be briefly checked near the 600 metres when ROSE CORSAGE improved on its outside.
BLACK GEORGE and CRUISING AT ALTITUDE also gave ground over the concluding stages.
No claims were entered for any runner in this event.
 
Race 4 JEFF WALKER & CLELAND MURDOCH LAWYERS/ADVANCE AG MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
NOTHINGFORTHEMEDIA attempted to improve its position from the 1300 metres however was unable to do so and commenced to give ground from the 800 metres. Stewards ordered a post-race veterinary examination of NOTHINGFORTHEMEDIA which revealed the gelding to have a high respiratory rate.
NIGHTMARCH was held up on the final bend and had to shift ground outwards in the home straight to obtain clear racing room.
 
Race 5 ART BLOXHAM HORSE TRANSPORT/WILLYS FLOORING HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
ABRAHAM JONES broke in the early stages with the gelding continuing in a break resulting in it racing greenly and locking wheels with SOUTHLAND REFLECTOR on the first bend. GRACE O'MALLEY had to be checked off these two runners and broke briefly as a result.
ELTSUNAMI switched into a pace on the first bend and had to be broken up to return to its correct gait.
BELMONT INVASION broke after 300 metres.
MISS COCO commenced to gradually give ground from the 900 metres.
SUNDON INVASION broke near the 900 metres when attempting to improve on the outside of the tiring MISS COCO.
GRACE O'MALLEY broke with 750 metres to race when attempting to steer outside the tiring MISS COCO.
MOA BONES trotted roughly in the home straight.
BLAZING UNDER FIRE drifted outwards clear of other runners in the home straight.
STRATHMORES CHARM shifted inwards over the concluding stages.
 
Race 6 SHADOW PLAY AT ALABAR MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
BALFOUR BUTLER paced roughly through the early stages then broke after approximately 200 metres and shifted ground outwards inconveniencing EJA PATRON and BIG BAD JOHN.
FIRST FLIGHT IN raced keenly in the middle stages.
THE TISBURY TERROR was held up on the final bend.
BIG BAD JOHN ran out of racing room over the final stages.
 
Race 7 MACCA LODGE/PGG WRIGHTSON LIVESTOCK HANDICAP PACE Video  Video 
MOONDYNE JOE tangled briefly then broke shortly after the start and shifted outwards inconveniencing BETTOR'S BRIGADIER which was shifted wider on the track. MOONDYNE JOE lost all realistic chance in the event.
ONEDIN ONYX broke for a few strides at the start.
DEVIL MAY CARE was held up for racing room through the early stages of the run home.
BETTOR'S BRIGADIER hung inwards just prior to the home straight and paced roughly at the straight entrance. Driver D Dunn reported he received a punctured sulky tyre at the straight entrance.
