Race 1 CHANGEOVER AT NEVELE R STUD AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
There were no claims lodged for OUR SOUTHERN MAN
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ over raced during the middle stages when trailing the leader.
IMAJOLLYWALLY was held up on the final turn and early stage of the run home.
WITH A VENGEANCE was held up throughout the run home and briefly locked wheels with SIKORA near the 50 metres when that runner shifted ground inwards marginally.
Amateur Driver K Judson (SHARDS PHOENIX) was charged under Rule 869(3)(b) on the grounds that he drove carelessly in the run home by allowing SHARDS PHOENIX to shift inwards checking OUR SOUTHERN MAN near the 100 metres. The breach was admitted and after hearing submissions as to penalty the JCA suspended Mr Judson's Advanced Amateur Driver's Licence up to and including 25 October 2015.
 
Race 2 WORLD RANKED 2015 NZBSA OPEN BILLIARDS HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
GEORGIES SMILE, OVERSTAYER and VENTIMIGLIA broke at the start with VENTIMIGLIA losing considerable ground and GEORGIES SMILE and OVERSTAYER trailing the field throughout.
NO BACARDI DAMIT broke approaching the 200 metres and lost all chance.
VENTIMIGLIA was disappointed for a run to the inside of KARACHERIE in the passing lane in the middle stage of the run home.
 
Race 3 NRM SIRES STAKES (HEAT 2) MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
Drivers M McKendry (SHANDALE) and A Herlihy (WALKINSHAW) were cautioned for failing to maintain their respective positions on the mobile barrier until dispatch.
SHANDALE (favourite) was restrained from the start and then trailed on the outer before attempting to improve three wide from the 400 metres but failed to run on to finish in 6th place beaten 3.6 lengths. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities with the colt displaying a normal recovery. Trainer/Driver M McKendry stated that SHANDALE had worked satisfactorily leading into tonight's event but had not travelled as well as its previous start and he was disappointed with the performance.
WALKINSHAW was held up briefly in the middle stage of the run home when looking for a run to the inside of ZACH MAGUIRE.
ZACH MAGUIRE tended to lay in and paced roughly at various stages during the running and in particular leaving the back straight the final time.
 
Race 4 EQUIBREED FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
GOTTA GO JET AWAY, which had improved around to race outside the leader approaching the bell, commenced to give ground passing the 400 metres.
LANA ROYALE broke near the 300 metres inconveniencing PURE DESIRE. A warning was placed against LANA ROYALE's racing manners.

KASHIN, which was a clear leader over the early and middle stages, weakened from the 400 metres to finish at the rear.
UCANTTAKEITWITHU was held up briefly on the final turn.
 
Race 6 FURNWARE INDUSTRIES BODYFURN MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
Trainer F Mitchell was issued with a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $100 for presenting ACES N EIGHTS without the notified blinds.
AMBRO COURAGE, which was racing outside the leader, lay in passing the 300 metres and then shifted outwards when corrected by Junior Driver M Johnson checking ART I SPECIAL, which was improving to its outside, with that gelding galloping and losing all chance. CULLIES DELIGHT was inconvenienced in this incident when racing outside of ART I SPECIAL. When questioned in relation to the incident M Johnson explained that AMBRO COURAGE had hung in when he activated the deafeners and had then overreacted when corrected. After considering the matter Mr Johnson was warned to exercise greater control in similar circumstances in the future.
Trainer/Driver A Donnelly (VIEWFIELD APACHE) reported that the deafeners had failed to release despite the sliding blinds, which were attached to the same release cord, having activated correctly.
 
Race 7 HAMILTON VET SERVICES TE AWAMUTU CUP (HANDICAP PACE) Video  Video 
DELIGHT BRIGADE broke for several strides at the start.
RISK broke shortly after the start but soon settled. RISK then lay in forcing EARTHBOUND down over marker pegs with that gelding galloping and settling at the rear. A warning was placed on the standing start barrier manners of RISK.
MCROYAL broke briefly approaching the first turn after Driver T MacFarlane pulled the hopple shortners.
ROYAL TAZ paced roughly near the 2300 metres but quickly recovered.
RISK lay in under pressure near the 50 metres and had to be corrected.
 
Race 8 CHARLIE BLACKWELL MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CHRISTY MAGUIRE broke as the mobile was released and settled at the rear. A warning was placed against this mare's mobile barrier manners.
SHARDON'S SHERALEE was held up early on the final turn before working fully clear passing the 100 metres.
 
Race 9 WAIKATO PRINCIPALS ASSOCIATION HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
There were no claims lodged for DRAGON LADY or SILVER STREAM.
STUEY D broke at the start losing all chance and was retired from the event.
ZIMPLE broke shortly after the start inconveniencing YOGI JOHNSON before settling at the rear.
ELLA'S SPEED broke over the early stages losing considerable ground.
WINGSONHAI trotted roughly over the early stages.
FRANCO NADAL broke near the 500 metres losing ground before settling.
SILVER STREAM broke passing the 300 metres losing all chance.
MOKOSUN was held up early on the final bend but then broke near the 150 metres losing its chance.

THEPHANTOMTOLLBOOTH failed to secure clear running over the final stages finishing in 3rd place.
CHEERS STRIDE showed gate speed before trailing on the outer but was then shuffled back during the middle stages. CHEERS STRIDE then improved three wide without cover from the 700 metres but was under pressure on the final turn and failed to run on to finish at the rear beaten 11.5 lengths. When questioned Trainer/Driver A Herlihy stated that the race had not been run to suit however he was disappointed with the performance.
