Race 1 DUNEDIN HOLIDAY PARK TROT Video  Video 
GLASS HALF FULL and TOPNOTCH EAGLE both broke racing into the first bend.
MILLY POTTS hung outwards when racing in the parked position for the majority of the race.
MISS COCO trotted roughly passing the 800 metres losing its momentum.
TROUBLE DEL trotted roughly in the early stages of the run home.
BLINK trotted roughly in the run home. Driver B Orange advised he did not activate the removable deafeners.
Driver I Cameron (BRITE N LOVELY) was advised to change his whip action.
 
Race 2 'FIRST LEG OF PICK 6' MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
KATE JACKSON broke in the score up and was back several lengths at the start with a warning placed on the mobile manners of the mare.
SANCY was reluctant to take up its position and was back slightly at the start.
JAYEES SUPREME paced roughly through the early stages.
Racing into the first bend PAY ME IDEAL veered outwards and made the bend awkwardly dictating WAIHEMO ART and ROSTRIEVER VICTORY wider.
THINKING SMART raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages.
SANCY had difficulty obtaining a clear run in the middle stages of the run home.
Just short of the winning post PAY ME IDEAL commenced to hang inwards crowding WAIHEMO ART with both runners locking stays. Shortly after the winning post JULES MANZONI lay inwards placing PAY ME IDEAL in restricted room.This resulted in checks to SANCY, MISS STELLA and POCKET CAESAR with POCKET CAESAR making heavy contact with the sulky of MISS STELLA and fell dislodging driver R McIlwrick. Driver R McIlwrick was cleared by St John's to continue his engagements.
Stewards ordered a vet examination of POCKET CAESAR which revealed a minor abrasion.
When questioned regarding the performance of favoured runner THINKING SMART driver D Dunn could offer no tangible reason for the performance also advising he was surprised at its favouritism.
 
Race 3 OTAKIA TRANSPORT JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
Trainer G Anderson admitted a breach of Rule 865(2) in that he presented HIGHVIEW ILLUSION without the notified removable deafeners and he was fined $100 by the JCA.
BAY EMERALD raced wide in the early stages.
BE ME lay inwards and contacted the hind leg of UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE rounding the final bend. As a result driver M Anderson became unbalanced and BE ME raced roughly for a short distance. BE ME received a punctured sulky wheel in this incident.
A veterinary examination on UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE revealed a superficial laceration to the right hind leg.
DANNY DEL VITO had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
GUPTA'S CULLEN was held up over the concluding stages when racing in restricted room.
 
Race 4 SPEIGHTS MOBILE TROT Video  Video 
As the start was effected SUNDON INVASION broke inconveniencing MUM BEAT LYALL with SUNDON INVASION losing all chance.
KYLIE CASTLETON raced wide through the early stages.
BEYOND A JOKE raced keenly through the middle stages and tired from the 600 metres.
MUM BEAT LYALL trotted roughly on the final bend.
PYRAMID MAGIC was held up on the final bend.
MUM BEAT LYALL broke over the concluding stages.
STRATHMORES CHARM was held up over the concluding stages.
 
Race 5 RICOH COPIERS PACE Video  Video 
ALWAYS THERE tangled at the start.
ALSA LUSTRE over raced in the middle stages.
GOTTA LAUGH hung outwards when improving its position down the back straight on the final occasion.
ALSA LUSTRE raced greenly rounding the final bend when held up behind ALWAYS THERE which was hanging inwards.
ALWAYS THERE and RAINY RIVER briefly locked wheels at the entrance to the straight.
Driver B Orange (ALWAYS THERE) dropped his leg momentarily when activating gear near the 150 metres.
CARLETTA broke near the 100 metres.
 
Race 6 JUST ESSENCE CATERING HANDICAP PACE Video  Video 
WARP POWER, MOTU MOONBEAM and THE BLACK all broke at the start.
NEVER EYRE was slow to begin.
SCOTTY'S IMAGE tired on the final bend.
THE PERSUADER had difficulty obtaining clear room in the middle stages of the run home.
When questioned regarding the improved performance of TOP BRASS trainer W Stevenson advised that the gelding had been working well also adding the gelding had raced without much luck in its previous starts.
 
Race 7 DUNEDIN CITY MOTORS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
RORY MACH was a late scratching at 12.00 pm with a vet certificate to be provided.
TITAN BANNER hung inwards and paced roughly when attempting to improve its position wide on the track near the 400 metres.
RAPHOE raced in restricted room throughout the run home with driver R McIlwrick advising he did not activate the removable gear.
When questioned regarding the improved performance of WESTBURN JEWEL trainer I Court advised the mare had over raced at its previous start and had settled better with a solid tempo.
Driver D Dunn advised that he will be recommending gear changes to TITAN BANNER after the gelding raced roughly rounding the final bend.
When questioned regarding the performance of TILLY BROGDEN driver J Dunn advised the mare had failed to settle when leading.
