MAJESTIC JOHN paced roughly shortly after the start and settled five deep on the running line.
LOFTY BROGDEN was briefly held up entering the straight for the run home.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ paced roughly under pressure throughout the run home.
 
Race 2 THAI NIGHT AT ALEX PARK 28TH AUGUST MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
IDEAL QUEST broke at the start, losing several lengths and settling at the rear. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier manners of this mare.
ANNATTO lay out shortly after the start briefly locking sulky stays with MOTOWN racing on its outside.
IDEAL QUEST was inclined to lay in and pace roughly on numerous occasions.
EYE BROW over-raced in the middle stages.
ANNATTO began to weaken rounding the final turn which impeded CHRISSIE JET.
 
Race 3 BELMONT LINEN HIRE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
EVERYTHING paced roughly then broke racing into the first bend and trailed the field. A warning was placed on this gelding's racing manners record.
MURACO and ITSOKBEINGBETTER weakened rounding the final bend.
OHOKA DARCY was held up by the weakening MURACO approaching the 400 metres and then when improving in the run home failed to get clear racing room throughout, finishing an unlucky 2nd.

DAUNTLESS, ISA SMILING and PHILADELPHIA H all made mistakes at the start, all losing considerable ground.
ALEXANDRA LEAVING broke for a stride and was slow away.
STUEY D broke shortly after the start, losing considerable ground.
ALEXANDRA LEAVING broke approaching the 400 metres and failed to settle.
THIS SKY ROX and VERY PERSUASIVE were both held up over the early stages of the run home.

RETURN TO SENDER, when being eased back shortly after the start, hung inward resulting in the gelding striking its off side sulky wheel with its hind leg with the tyre and tube being punctured and coming off the rim, resulting in RETURN TO SENDER being pulled up by Driver J. Dunn.
 
Race 6 GRAND HARBOUR RESTAURANT MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
BETTABE PERFECT lost contact with the field with 1200 metres to run and was eventually pulled up. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. A veterinary certificate of fitness will be required before this horse resumes.
FRANCO NIKAU contacted pylons passing the 1200 metres resulting in one being dislodged which landed in the sulky of JOEY MAGUIRE.
VIEWFIELD APACHE (F. Schumacher) broke losing its chance approaching the 200 metres after contacting the sulky of ATOMIC FALCON (S. Abernethy).
An investigation into the drive of M. Purvis (JOEY MAGUIRE) resulted in the Stewards issuing a reprimand in regard to the manner in which he crossed over from barrier five racing toward the first bend to one out without cover. This resulted in MACHINEGUN KELLY being cramped for racing room.
An information was lodged under Rule 869(4) alleging that Junior Driver F. Schumacher drove carelessly striking the back of the sulky of ATOMIC FALCON (S. Abernethy) causing his own horse to gallop, losing its chance approaching the 200 metres. The breach was admitted and the J.C.A. imposed a fine of $200.00.

AL BUNDY broke at the start losing considerable ground and its chance.
VULCAN broke briefly at the start and was slow away.
SIR GEORGE GREY broke shortly after the start, failing to settle and losing its chance.

IDLE EYRE was slow early and trotted unevenly throughout the running before breaking near the 700 metres, losing its chance.
GETAWAY DOUG and LADY J broke near the 200 metres and failed to settle.

DEMOISELLE switched to a pace shortly after the start and then galloped losing all chance.
PAUL AMOUR broke near the 300 metres losing its chance.
REINE DES GITANS broke approaching the 200 metres and failed to settle.
ACOUGARZSUN broke inside the final 50 metres and failed to settle.
Authorisation of the 5th placing of ACOUGARZSUN was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that this gelding had lost ground when breaking over the final stages and was not lapped on by FIRST VINTAGE (6th place).
