Race 7 - BACKED BY BDO MOBILE PACE
Stable representative J Dunn has advised Stewards that following its disappointing performance at Addington on 10 July, CALLENBERG has been scoped and found to be suffering from a viral infection with this having been treated. He added that the gelding has worked well this week and that if possible would be driven with a sit in its future races.

Race 4 - WOODLANDS STUD 2015 NZ JUNIOR DRIVERS (HEAT 2) MOBILE PACE
Trainer B Kerr has advised Stewards that after its disappointing performance at Addington last Thursday, BURN OFF has recovered well and worked satisfactorily this week. He added that as reported the hopple shorteners were not activated during last week's race and Mr Kerr felt that this affected the gelding's performance with an improved showing being expected this Friday.

Race 3 - KEEP IT CLEAN JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
Trainer S Allen has advised Stewards that ELUSIVE FLIGHT has worked well this week since its disappointing performance at Forbury Park last Friday and has shown no ill-effects from the run. Mr Allen added that he is expecting an improved showing at Addington this week.

Race 1 PLAY ADDINGTON123.COM CONTEST MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
DREAMY DAMIEN raced three wide without cover from the 1200 metres.
LIS RULZ raced fiercely throughout the middle stages.
SMACKWATER JACK paced roughly nearing the 400 metres and broke shortly after losing its chance.
MR WOODLEA was held up for clear racing room through the early and middle stages of the run home.
ZENMACH had to be steadied passing the 200 metres when awkwardly positioned near the sulky of MR WOODLEA which raced greenly when shifting outwards.
 
Race 2 MAINLY WASTE TROT Video  Video 
PRECIOUS MOMENT, TOPNOTCH TITAN and IT'S HOW YOU USE IT broke as the start was effected with PRECIOUS MOMENT losing all chance and eventually being retired from the event.
THE JINJA NINJA was checked into a gallop when attempting to avoid the breaking IT'S HOW YOU USE IT.
WALKING IN MEMPHIS broke passing the 2400 metres.
DIANA HARBOUR and HENLEY PARK broke on the first bend.
ROCKET broke nearing the 1700 metres.
WALKING IN MEMPHIS hung inwards under pressure on the final bend and struck pylons.
The connections of IT'S HOW YOU USE IT advised it was their intention to effect gear changes on the mare prior to returning to the races.
RUTHLESS SUCCESS was removed from the unruly for standing starts.
 
Race 3 CAVELL LEITCH SOUTH OF THE WAITAKI SERIES (Ht4) MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
MR HANDLEMAN was out of position at dispatch despite the urging's of driver B McLellan.
BOLD RULER raced fiercely though the middle stages.
Horseman P Hunter dropped his foot momentarily over the concluding stages when activating the removable gear on BOLD RULER.
MR HANDLEMAN hung outwards throughout the run home.
ELUSIVE FLIGHT was unable to gain clear racing room throughout the final straight. Driver M Williamson reported because of this he had not activated the removable deafeners.
S McNally as the driver of TACT TATE advised Stewards he did not activate the hopple shorteners on his gelding. When questioned regarding this he advised the gelding had broken in the score up or in the early stages of its last two starts and as the gelding appeared to be comfortable in its gait he decided to leave the pins in place. Mr McNally further advised that the hopple length would now be permanently adjusted to tonight's length.
 
Race 4 CHRISTCHURCH CASINO MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
Trainers P and M Kerr were issued with an information under Rule 865(1) for being late to notify sliding blinds for WEBB ELLIS with the JCA imposing a fine of $100.
COVET ME was inclined to hang outwards during the score up and was slightly back at dispatch. The inside number became displaced at this time.
WEBB ELLIS raced fiercely over the early stages causing driver D Dunn some difficulty. This horse then raced roughly approaching the first bend when awkwardly positioned near the wheel of HUNTER BROMAC momentarily.
Horseman D Dunn dropped his foot momentarily passing the 1300 metres when activating the hopple shorteners on WEBB ELLIS.
GUPTA'S CULLEN was obliged to race three wide without cover for the majority of the event resulting in the filly weakening passing the 700 metres.
COVET ME commenced to tire from the 400 metres.
IT'S ALL OVER NOW hung outwards on the bend near the 1500 metres and then paced roughly passing the 1450 metres for several strides.
When questioned with regards to the performance of HUNTER BROMAC, driver M Neilson explained the colt had been unsuited to working hard through the early stages to maintain a forwards position. A post-race veterinary examination revealed HUNTER BROMAC to have a slow recovery rate with the colt being stood down until a veterinary clearance including an ECG is tendered.
 
Race 5 HELLERS YOUNG AT HEART FINAL (MOBILE PACE) Video  Video 
Trainer B Mowbray was issued with a $100 minor infringement notice for presenting NORTHVIEW GAMBLER to race in the incorrect number.
GRADUATE UNDER FIRE struck the barrier arm prior to dispatch. When questioned regarding this driver M Purvis explained the gelding had been lethargic through the early stages of the score up but when tried with the whip the horse raced fiercely.
BURN OFF was out of position at dispatch and was slow through the early stages.
RIVER BLACK hung inwards racing into the first bend making contact with the sulky of GRADUATE UNDER FIRE. RIVER BLACK continued to hang inwards on the bend and passing the 1500 metres sustained a punctured sulky tyre when racing to the outside of GRADUATE UNDER FIRE. Driver B Orange was spoken to regarding this. He advised his gelding had hung throughout. Notwithstanding this, Mr Orange was advised that in future he is to make a greater effort to be fully clear when attempting to shift ground.
GRADUATE UNDER FIRE and FAIR DINKUM BROMAC locked wheels rounding the final bend for some distance after both runners had shifted ground.
LOTTIE FRANCO was held on the final bend behind the weakening ALEXY.
NORTHVIEW GAMBLER broke rounding the final bend losing ground. Authorisation of 5th placed being awarded to this gelding was withheld until it was established that it had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations.
 
Race 6 A ELECTRICAL LTD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
The bit on GROOMSMAN broke in the score up with a false start being declared. Due to this having to be replaced this race was delayed by approximately 11 minutes. The bit on this bridle was inspected and displayed some internal deterioration which trainer H Hunter could not have been aware of. Accordingly no further action was taken.
GROOMSMAN raced keenly in the early stages.
CALLENBERG struck and dislodged a pylon near the 2100 metres.
ZIN ZAN raced keenly in the middle stages.
INCREDIBLE ANVIL was inclined to hang inwards rounding the final bend striking pylons.
LOVETODREAM hung inwards under pressure on the final bend and struck several pylons.
ALBUQUERQUE was held up in the early stages of the run home.
CALLENBERG had difficulty obtaining clear racing room over the latter stages. S Ottley advised she had not activated the removable deafeners on the gelding.
FRANCO HARRINGTON was held up until the 100 metres. Driver R Close advised he had not activated the removable deafeners on the gelding.
 
Race 7 EASTGATE SHOPPING CENTRE TROT Video  Video 
The start time of this race was put back 2 minutes due to the delay in the previous race.
EXPLOSIVE STAR broke as the start was effected before settling and breaking again shortly after.
JEAN SEBASTIEN and PAMMYS BOY came together shortly after the start when PAMMYS BOY shifted ground inwards causing both horses to begin awkwardly.
BIG EARS broke briefly at the start.
YANKEE COMMANDO broke nearing the 1950 metres.
BIG EARS and YANKEE COMMANDO struck pylons when under pressure on the final bend.
BORDEAUX was held up on the final bend.
 
Race 8 CHRISTIAN CULLEN MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
WONEATA G was well back from the unruly position at the start.
LUCKY THREE raced keenly throughout the middle stages.
Passing the 500 metres HES FAST AND FURIOUS had to be heavily restrained when placed in restricted room. C McDowell will be spoken to in the coming days regarding this incident.
LUCKY THREE was held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
TETRICK carried a flat tyre for the final 200 metres. Stewards will speak with drivers R May (TETRICK) and B Orange (WATTLEBANK FLYER) in the coming days regarding this.
Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded to LUCKY THREE on the grounds that it had started from the incorrect barrier position (2 on the second line) and by doing so had gained an advantage through being able to maintain a position in the one off line. After considering the submissions of Stewards and Mr Hunter, the JCA dismissed the protest. Mr Hunter admitted an associated charge lodged under Rule 862(2). The details of which that he allowed LUCKY THREE to start from the incorrect barrier position and a fine of $200 was imposed.
When questioned with regards to the improved performance of WATTLEBANK FLYER, trainer T Trathen advised the gelding had been given a freshen up since disappointing him at Nelson in June. Mr Trathen also advised that the gelding had recently been treated for a blood disorder which had lead to its condition improving.
Stable representative K Gill reported that HES FAST AND FURIOUS had struck its knee throughout the running and would be making gear changes prior to it resuming.
Stewards inquired into an incident near the 300 metres when TETRICK (R May) received a flat tyre as a result of contact being made form the trailing WATTLEBANK FLYER (B Orange). Mr Orange advised that WATTLEBANK FLYER had traveled keenly on the final bend and when TETRICK shifted outwards prior to the passing lane his horse had attempted to improve it's position despite his efforts. Mr Orange added there had not been sufficient room for his horse and sulky and so he had elected to restrain his gelding however it was at this time contact was made with Mr Mays sulky. After reviewing the films Stewards accepted Mr Oranges explanation and took the matter no further.
Stewards spoke with drivers C McDowell (TIN ROOF BLUES) and S Golding (HES FAST AND FURIOUS) regarding an incident near the 500 metres when HES FAST AND FURIOUS had to be restrained when placed in restricted room. After considering their submissions Mr McDowell was reprimanded for the manner in which he shifted ground.
 
Race 9 AVON CITY FORD PACE Video  Video 
The rein pricker was removed from HIGHVIEW SADLER during the preliminary due to the gelding warming up unfavourably.
MISS JUDGEFORD broke briefly at the start.
MAGICAL MURF broke shortly after the start and lost ground.
LYNLEY MORRIS raced roughly on the final bend and had to be restrained by driver R Close.
 
Race 10 AUSTRALASIAN BREEDERS CROWN 2YO FILLIES HEAT MOBILE PACE
The removable deafeners were not activated on the winner CHANGELING DANA.

Horseman S Golding dropped his foot momentarily over the concluding stages when activating the removable deafeners on I WILL ROCK YOU. Mr Golding elected not to activate the gelding's sliding blinds.
