Race 1 MONARCHY TROT Video  Video 
Trainer B Heads was issued with a Minor Infringement Notice and fined $50 for failing to notify B Orange as the driver of DE VITO by the prescribed time.
SQUAW, PRETORIUS, SHEZA TRENDY MONARCH and DE VITO broke at the start.
DE VITO again broke racing into the first bend after being checked by SQUAW.
TRUE SPIRIT gave ground from the 600 metres.
PLAYBOY'S BROTHER broke with 300 metres to run.
REDWOOD INVASION hung inwards early in the run home and broke briefly. This gelding again broke briefly on several occasions over the concluding stages. Driver R Holmes advised he elected not to activate the removable deafeners on REDWOOD INVASION.
Authorisation of 3rd placing being awarded to PRETORIUS was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages.
Authorisation of 4th placing being awarded to REDWOOD INVASION was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the gelding had not broken continuously in excess of 50 metres over the final 200 metres of the race.
Driver R May (MISSIE CASTLETON) reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners on the mare due to having the field covered.
The connections of SQUAW advised that they would be returning this horse to the trials before its next race day start.
 
Race 2 MORRISONS SADDLERY & FEED PACE Video  Video 
LIGHTNING MARY shifted inwards at the start checking RECIPE FOR DREAMING with both horses breaking as a result. A warning was placed on the standing start record of LIGHTNING MARY.
BOUNCER, CHAUHAN, TEXAS RULER and THE GHOST also broke in the early stages.
THE EDGE OF REASON and GUCCI CAVALLO were inconvenienced by CHAUHAN at the start.
CAESAR'S JADE broke after 200 metres.
CHAUHAN paced roughly passing the 700 metres before giving ground on the final bend.
DELIGHTFUL JACK was briefly held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
RECIPE FOR DREAMING was inconvenienced near the 150 metres after THE GHOST shifted wider on the track. Driver L McCormick (THE GHOST) was shown a replay and warned for the manner in which he shifted ground.
When questioned in regards to the performance of RECIPE FOR DREAMING driver D Dunn stated that he wasn't overly disappointed with the run after being checked at the start and having to work hard during the running to improve his position. A veterinary examination of the colt revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 3 THE BREEDERS GOLDEN GIRLS TROTTING SERIES (HT 1) MOBILE TROT Video  Video 
THE JINJA NINJA paced and broke in the score up losing all chance. The connections requested that this mare be placed on the unruly for future mobile starts
CHEEKY PAT raced greenly near the 1400 metres when in the parked position.
Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the push-out rule when TIME FOR SUCCESS was briefly forced wider on the track near the 1300 metres. After viewing the replays Stewards were satisfied that K Cameron (MONKEY LUCK) had commenced his shift outwards prior to TIME FOR SUCCESS reaching his sulky wheel. No further action was deemed necessary.
RIVERBOAT PRINCESS broke with 400 metres to run. A post race veterinary examination was requested on RIVERBOAT PRINCESS after the mare returned to the birdcage showing signs of lameness which revealed an injury to a suspensory ligament. Trainer L Smart advised that this mare would now be retired from racing.
SUENO broke with 50 metres to run.
 
Race 4 ONE SMART COFFEE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
LETS GO FREDDY was trapped wide in the early stages before reaching the parked position with 1400 metres to run.
HIGHVIEW ILLUSION and TETRICK improved very wide on the final bend.
YOUNOYOUWANTMEE and FRANCO TMICK were held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
LIVE TO TELL struck a pylon near the 250 metres.
LETS GO FREDDY paced roughly passing the 150 metres after being shifted wider by WICK.
HIGHVIEW ILLUSION hung inwards in the home straight.
 
Race 5 WILLIAMSON RACING STABLES HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
The start was delayed due to a wheel being changed on the sulky of PEGASUS DREAM.
PYRAMID MONARCH refused to line up with the field and was sent to the unruly by the Starter. This horse was placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
As a result of PYRAMID MONARCH failing to take its position the rest of the field became fractious and were reassembled causing a further delay.
PYRAMID MONARCH broke briefly at the start.
SUNNY RUBY trotted roughly in the early stages losing ground.
MIRI broke with 1500 metres to run inconveniencing PEGASUS DREAM.
QUALITY INVASION hung inwards throughout the run home.
SUNNY RUBY was placed in restricted room late in the run home after STAR COMMANDO had shifted inwards marginally.
When questioned regarding the performance of SUNNY RUBY driver G Smith explained that he was obliged to work hard passing the 1600 metres to obtain the lead from PYRAMID MONARCH which had taken its toll over the concluding stages. Mr Smith added that he would drive the filly with cover when circumstances permit in future.
Driver P Davis (SARAH PALIN) was shown a replay and warned to change his whip action.
 
Race 6 PGG WRIGHTSON STANDARDBRED HANDICAP PACE Video  Video 
BOOMER BAILEY, LEIGH MAJOR and STARSKY'S DREAM all broke at the start.
A warning was placed on the standing start record of LEIGH MAJOR. The connections advised that LEIGH MAJOR would now be sent for a spell.
CARRICKMANNON struck pylons on the home turn.
Authorisation of 2nd placing of STARSKY'S DREAM was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the horse had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations in the early stages.
When questioned regarding the performance of CYCLONE KIWI, Trainer/Driver R Holmes reported that the gelding was unable to make ground due to the fast last half of the race.
 
Race 7 CHANGEOVER JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CALLENBERG raced wide in the early stages.
MOTU MAKE A SPLASH broke racing into the first bend losing considerable ground.
PARRAMATTA raced wide in the early stages before obtaining the lead approaching the 1600 metres.
Passing the 800 metres ELUSIVE FLIGHT and CALLENBERG locked wheels briefly causing a slight easing of the pace which resulted in MOTU MAKE A SPLASH breaking and losing its chance.
CALLENBERG broke near the 300 metres. Driver M Purvis advised that CALLENBERG had been over racing throughout after striking his sulky wheels and had struck its knee on the final bend causing it to break.
ASTRO BOY was held up for clear racing room in the run home.
Drivers M Neilson (MUSIC) and T Quate (PARRAMATTA) were warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
 
Race 8 SOUTHERN WINES TROT Video  Video 
SUNDON INVASION reared at the start and broke.
BOBBINS broke in the early stages.
ILLUSTRIOUS QUEEN momentarily shifted wider on the track passing the 1100 metres when over-racing.
ILLUSTRIOUS QUEEN commenced to weaken with 600 metres to run with the trailing EXPLOSIVE STAR being held up for some distance. ILLUSTRIOUS QUEEN then broke on the home turn.
THE ZIGMEISTER tired passing the 300 metres.
SHADOW GALLEON was held up for clear room in the early stages of the run home.
ARRAN CHIEF hung inwards in the run home.
Stewards questioned Drivers C McKay (ILLUSTRIOUS QUEEN) and P Davis (THE ZIGMEISTER) regarding the tactics they adopted in the middle stages when vying for the lead. Mr McKay explained that ILLUSTRIOUS QUEEN is best suited when able to lead as she has a tendency to over-race when trailing other horses. He added that after initially resisting the challenge of THE ZIGMEISTER on the bend near the 1600 metres he then elected to relinquish the lead approaching the 1300 metres after THE ZIGMEISTER had begun to over-race however ILLUSTRIOUS QUEEN then commenced to race fiercely causing him some difficulty in restraining the mare. Mr Davis explained that THE ZIGMEISTER also races best when able to lead however after unsuccessfully challenging for the lead on the bend near the 1600 metres, THE ZIGMEISTER began to race fiercely so he elected to again challenge ILLUSTRIOUS QUEEN in an attempt to allow his horse to settle. After considering the explanations of the respective drivers and taking into account the racing manners of both horses, Stewards were satisfied that their actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances and no further action was deemed necessary.
 
Race 9 FAT SALLY'S PUB & RESTAURANT PACE Video  Video 
LOOSE CANNON, LAMBORNE ROAD and LATE MAIL broke at the start with LAMBORNE ROAD losing all chance.
STUNIN DUDE and ASK ME ART raced wide in the early stages.
ROYAL CYNIC and FAIR DINKUM BROMAC raced keenly in the middle stages.
