Trainer G Smith notified Stewards that blood tests taken earlier in the week (Monday) from HE'S LIKE THE WIND showed the horse required treatment to rectify the levels of certain white blood cells. Treatment was commenced and the horse recovered well. Follow up blood tests taken today have shown the horse's blood to still be slightly out, however Mr Smith advised that it has had no negative impact upon the horses track work and that judging by its work mid week he is confident of a forwards showing. HE'S LIKE THE WIND was examined and cleared to race by the on-course Veterinarians.
Pre-race blood testing was carried out at this meeting.
