Race 1 FANCY A DRIVE IN A DUAL SULKY AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
FRANCO TIAGO was claimed by Mr D B Donnelly from Cambridge.
VIEWFIELD APACHE broke in the initial stages of the score up and trailed the field throughout. A warning was placed against this gelding's mobile barrier manners.
YOUBETTERYOUBET was slow to begin.
An information was lodged charging Amateur Driver G Cronin (LOLA JONES) under Rule 869(7A)(a)&(b) and/or 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly early in the run home by attempting to improve to the inside of MISS LARA where there was insufficient room which resulted in his sulky striking track pylons and protruding inside the marker line throughout the run home. Mr Cronin admitted the breach with the JCA imposing a fine of $250.00.
 
Race 2 CHRISTIAN CULLEN AT NEVELE R STUD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ALOTBETTOR paced roughly for a stride near the 1000 metres when being restrained off the back of MAJOR CHANGE.
ACES N EIGHTS paced roughly near the 150 metres.
Driver S Phelan (ACES N EIGHTS) reported that a hind hopple carrier had broken during the running. This gear was inspected and found to be in satisfactory condition with no further action deemed necessary.
 
Race 3 FIBERPROTECT HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
PRINCESS ANASTASIA, NORVIC JAZZMAN and THE KEYSTONE KID broke at or shortly after the start losing all chance.
STUEY D was checked shortly after the start by the breaking NORVIC JAZZMAN and galloped losing all chance.
MADAM SPRINGFIELD broke near the winning post the first time losing considerable ground before settling.
PRINCESS ANASTASIA broke again on the first turn and trailed the field.
TUI SPUR broke under pressure passing the 100 metres losing its chance.
 
Race 4 EFFLUENT AND IRRIGATION DESIGN MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
MAJOR CLASSIC paced unevenly at the start and was slow early.
MEGATRON gave ground over the final stages.
GAMMA LADY (favourite) raced three back on the outer before improving three then four wide from the 400 metres and finished on strongly into 3rd place beaten 1.4 lengths.
 
Race 5 FIBEREZY FILLIES AND MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
The mobile gate lost traction momentarily and had difficulty pulling clear of the field at the start due to the track conditions.
IDEALISTIC broke for several strides racing to the inside of CHEQUEME ROSIE rounding the first bend. Driver D Alexander (IDEALISTIC) admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident by failing to concede his position to CHEQUEME ROSIE, which had a clear advantage, resulting in IDEALISTIC breaking. The JCA imposed a fine of $200.00
IDEALISTIC then commenced to over-race entering the straight the first time and shifted down into the passing lane briefly before being corrected back out to follow PLAYAWAY.
KILKEEL LADY raced in restricted room between MURPHY BROWN and CULLIES DELIGHT after MURPHY BROWN shifted out to obtain clear racing room between the 150 and 100 metres. Driver A Donnelly (MURPHY BROWN) was warned for the manner in which she shifted ground in this incident.
LYN'S DELIGHT, PLAYAWAY and IDEALISTIC were held up rounding the final bend with IDEALISTIC shifting wider on the track to obtain clear racing room inside the last 70 metres.
 
Race 6 LONE STAR RICCARTON YOUNG DRIVERS CHAMPS HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
TON TINE broke at the start losing all chance.
VENTIMIGLIA began badly and settled back in midfield.
MEANDER WITH PEGASUS, which was racing outside the leader, hung in badly passing the 900 metres.
PALAIS ROYAL trotted roughly passing the 600 metres when at the rear.
 
Race 7 FIBERMIX HANDICAP PACE Video  Video 
No claims were lodged for WESTBURN COURAGE.
ELISAVETA and AMBRO COURAGE broke briefly at the start.
MALOO raced four wide from inside the 800 metres and gave ground over the final stages.
DELIGHT BRIGADE was held up briefly rounding the final turn and then again early in the run home before finishing on strongly when clear into 2nd place.
Driver D Butcher (ELISAVETA) reported that he had been unable to activate the deafener hood due to the release cord becoming entangled on the harness.
 
Race 8 LONE STAR RICCARTON YOUNG DRIVERS CHAMPS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ELUSIVE EDGAR broke briefly entering the first turn when racing to the inside of BALIUS, which was attempting to cross to the lead. Driver R Close (BALIUS), assisted by Senior Driver N Chilcott, admitted a charge under 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident resulting in interference to ELUSIVE EDGAR. The JCA imposed a fine of $250.00.
FOREVER AN ANGEL (favourite) improved around to race outside the leader near the winning post the first time before breaking passing the 800 metres and was retired from the event. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the mare was lame in the off-hind. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to FOREVER AN ANGEL resuming.
STARS STAR paced roughly for several strides near the 400 metres when towards the rear.
JACK BATES and MACARDO were held up early on the final bend.
 
Race 9 CASH ON COURSE AT CAMBRIDGE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
MAJESTIC JOHN was a late scratching at 7.55pm on Veterinary advice.
A Minor Infringement Notice was issued and a fine of $100 imposed on Trainer T Hall for presenting MEMPHIS MISS without the notified pacifiers.
COUNT LANDECK lay in shortly after the start and then shifted out abruptly checking MEMPHIS MISS which broke and settled at the rear. A warning was placed against the mobile barrier manners of COUNT LANDECK.
REV THE CHEV broke passing the 1700 metres and trailed the field for the remainder. A warning was placed against this gelding's racing manners.
EYECATCHER FIRE raced erratically approaching the 1100 metres and was then taken out to improve forward three wide before weakening over the final stages.
COUNT LANDECK paced roughly on the final turn when attempting to improve four wide.
