CULLECT THE CASH commenced to tire from the 700 metres, finishing at the rear. A warning was placed against this mare's racing performance.
An investigation was held into an incident approaching the 1600 metres where ROWAN SAPPHIRE raced wider on the track briefly after SOUVENIR GLORY shifted out from the peg line. It was established Junior Driver K. Marshall (SOUVENIR GLORY) had commenced his outward movement prior to ROWAN SAPPHIRE covering its wheel and no further action was deemed necessary. In considering this matter Stewards also took into account that MADDY BLUE, which had been racing outside SOUVENIR GLORY, was wider than a true one out position which had enabled SOUVENIR GLORY to commence the shift prior to MADDY BLUE improving fully past that runner.
