THE PRINCE broke for a couple of strides losing approximately 10 metres at the start.
THE PRINCE (Favourite) broke again passing the 250 metres losing its chance.
SEE YA broke inside the 200 metres and failed to settle.
 
Race 2 PAUL CLARIDGE ELECTRICAL HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
A false start was declared when the 30 metre barrier tape became entangled in the front legs of EARLS BULLER GIRL.
A second false start was declared when the barrier strands failed to release.
CONTINENTAL LOVER trotted roughly shortly after the start.
MISTRESS CASTLETON broke after 150 metres settling at the rear of the field.
CONTINENTAL LOVER broke passing the 1700 metres losing considerable ground.
INNES BOYZ was inclined to hang out badly when racing in the lead.
EYE WISH broke briefly passing the 1000 metres.
EYE WISH and CONTINENTAL LOVER broke briefly leaving the back straight the final time when at the rear.
TUI SPUR broke approaching the 50 metres.
INNES BOYZ lay out in the run home inconveniencing SPECIAL FLIGHT for several strides.
Trainer D Gale advised that EARLS BULLER GIRL would be retired.
 
Race 3 MEMBERS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CUFFS MCRAE paced roughly approaching the winning post the first time when racing to the outside of BANK GIRL which shifted out marginally.
PURE OPULENCE paced roughly near the 1500 metres when racing without cover which resulted in an easing of the pace in the one out running line with HANOVER ALERT pacing roughly for several strides.
CHERRY EVANS tended to over-race during the middle stages when outside the leader.
Trainer A Stuart was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for breaching Rule 865(2) after CUFFS MCRAE was presented without the notified sliding blinds.
Trainer M Fuller was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for breaching Rule 865(2) after BANK GIRL was presented with blinds that were not notified.
 
Race 4 THE SPEIGHTS ALE HOUSE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
BRAVE STRANGER laid in during the score up and was back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed against this gelding's mobile barrier manners.
CHEVRON QUALITY was caught wide in the early stages before then being improved to race outside the leader near the 1900 metres.
JERICHO ROAD showed early gate speed to lead after 400 metres and was then challenged during the middle stages by CAESAR'S PRINCE before surrendering the lead near the 1000 metres. JERICHO ROAD then paced roughly and commenced to tire from the 700 metres to finish at the rear beaten in excess of 50 lengths. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities with the gelding displaying a normal recovery. A warning was placed against the racing performance of JERICHO ROAD.

C A PENNY tended to lay out on the final turn and was reluctant to take the run that had become available in the passing lane.
TAFADHALI was held up throughout the run home going to the line without being fully tested.
MAX PHACTOR laid in when placed under pressure in the run home.
 
Race 6 SILVESTER CLARK MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
NICOLE VAIDISOVA, which was improving three wide, hung in and broke passing the 1200 metres but soon settled. A final warning was placed against this mare's racing manners.
SANTANNA JEWEL (Favourite) trailed on the outer before shifting out to a three wide position near the 800 metres and was then left three wide without cover from the 500 metres but failed to run on to finish in last place beaten 8.4 lengths. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the filly was displaying mild respiratory distress. Stable representative S Phelan advised that he would monitor how the filly came through the run as to whether it would back up on the second night of the meeting.
 
Race 7 WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
GOLDEN BILLION was back several lengths in the unruly position at dispatch.
GOLDEN BILLION paced roughly for a short distance rounding the final bend.
 
Race 8 HIGHVIEW TOMMY AT WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
EYRE HOSTESS broke passing the 600 metres after contacting the offside sulky wheel of IRISH KATH and lost all chance. It was established that there had been an easing of the pace in the one out running line which contributed to the incident and no further action was deemed necessary.
CHEQUEME ROSIE lay in and then broke with 300 metres to race losing its chance. A warning was placed against this mare's racing manners.
Driver D Butcher (MAJOR CHANGE) was questioned regarding the manner in which he drove over the final stages in relation to his apparent lack of vigour. Mr Butcher stated that after reaching the lead during the middle stages that he had been pressured by STORMY BREEZE racing down the back the last time which required him to activate the deafeners and then the sliding blinds passing the 400 metres, however he felt that MAJOR CHANGE was doing its best and in particular on straightening for the run home where he applied the whip on several occasions and there had been no response. Mr Butcher further stated that MAJOR CHANGE had tended to shift up the track when placed under pressure and that he had seen no point in further using the whip once SEA MC had headed him early in the run home. Mr Butcher's explanation was accepted however he was reminded of his obligations to ensure that he drives in a manner that leaves no room for query in the future.

No claims were lodged for WESTBURN COURAGE.
Trainer S Doody was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for breaching Rule 849(2) after BANKCARD was presented without the correct saddle cloth.
MIRO BAY, BANKCARD and IDEALISTIC pulled hard over the early and middle stages.
IDEALISTIC was held up for clear racing room over the early stages of the run home.
BANKCARD was held up over the final stages when unable to secure clear racing room.
 
Race 10 REVITAL FERTILISERS COUNTRY CUP FINAL THURSDAY NIGHT (HCP) Video  Video 
LOFTY BROGDEN broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
LIVELY NIGHTS raced keenly during the middle stages when leading.
BECKINSALE was held up early on the final turn and initial stages of the run home.
