TWO WISHES trotted roughly for a distance shortly after the start.
Shortly after the start THE KEYSTONE KID broke and again travelling over the crossing, failed to settle and lost its chance. A warning was placed on this gelding's racing manners record.
MIGHTY SUNNY broke passing the 1800 metres settling at the rear.
DIEDRE'S GOLD broke near the 1500 metres.
EYE WISH broke briefly passing the 250 metres.
MA CILLE broke near the 200 metres.

No claims were lodged for PHIL'S FOLLY.
COOL SON broke at the start losing several lengths.
PHIL'S FOLLY and SUNSHIELD broke shortly after the start.
GETAWAY DOUG broke 150 metres after the start and while in a gallop locked wheels with JAGERMEISTER with both horses being badly inconvenienced.
SUNSHIELD trotted roughly and broke for several strides passing the 300 metres.
SEE YA broke approaching the 200 metres.
BIM BOM BAY and OUR SUPER RAM both became unbalanced travelling over the crossing both galloping for a considerable distance. PALAIS ROYAL and THE SCRUFF being inconvenienced by these two breaking runners.
When improving forward YALDY BOYZ contacted the sulky wheel of RUBY CASTLETON going into a break inside the 200 metres.
SEE YA broke free of interference passing the 200 metres.
RUBY CASTLETON broke passing the 150 metres.
An Information was lodged alleging that Driver A Sharpe drove YALDY BOYZ carelessly causing his own horse to gallop after striking the wheel of RUBY CASTLETON near the 200 metres. The charge under Rule 869(3)(b) was admitted and the JCA suspended Mr Sharpe's horseman's licence up to and including the 17th of April 2015.
 
Race 3 CORLETT TRUCKING MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ALTA MARCELLO paced roughly over the initial stages and was slow away from barrier one on the front row. This inconvenienced LIVING BLUE CHIP.
BACK THE BLACK when racing one out without a trail and attempting to race to the lead near the 1500 metres broke free of interference settling towards the rear of the field.
TREVS NO ANGEL and GENERAL TIM briefly locked sulky wheels passing the 1250 metres.
GENERAL TIM gave ground inside the last 500 metres inconveniencing WITHOUT PREJUDICE.
CABLE BAY weakened and then broke inside the 400 metres and broke for several strides. A warning was placed on this gelding's racing manners.
TREVS NO ANGEL was held up rounding the final turn.
LIVING BLUE CHIP failed to get clear racing room until inside the last 150 metres.
BACK THE BLACK was inclined to lay out throughout the run home making contact with the sulky of TREVS NO ANGEL.
The winner THE TRACKER lay out inside the last 50 metres when under pressure.
A warning was placed on the racing manners record of BACK THE BLACK.
The authorisation of the 4th placing of BACK THE BLACK was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that this horse had complied with the breaking horse regulations when it galloped with 1500 metres to run.
 
Race 4 CALTEX GLOVER ROAD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
Permission was granted to the connections of ALTA SURREAL to remove this gelding's murphy blind prior to the start.
TRAVIS MAGUIRE paced roughly in the score up and was back from position at dispatch.
JERICHO ROAD paced roughly early and was slow away.
TAYLAHS GIRL broke at the start losing considerable ground before recovering to catch the field with 1500 metres to run. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier manners record of this mare.
THEGERMANCONNECTION over-raced during the middle stages when trailing on the outer.
JERICHO ROAD was held up over the early and middle stages of the run home.
 
Race 5 NZ FARMERS LIVESTOCK LTD FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
Trainer J Abernethy was charged a $25 colour fee for MY LUCKY BELLE.
There was a one and half minute delay to the start of this event as the sulky on HEY KNOWITALL required attention.
ROWAN SAPPHIRE paced roughly tangling for a few strides racing into the first bend.
MY LUCKY BELLE shied approaching the winning post on the first occasion shifting out abruptly. MY LUCKY BELLE then continued to lay out rounding the first bend.
WISE GODDESS over-raced in the middle stages.
MY LUCKY BELLE shifted out when placed under pressure in the final straight finishing wide on the track. Driver S Abernethy was questioned in regard to MY LUCKY BELLE's performance in the run home and the manner in which he drove. He explained he was mindful of the propensity for this filly to shy or run outwards and felt that as there were no runners on his outside that the safest course of action was not to attempt to overly correct it. After viewing the video coverage Stewards accepted his explanation. A warning was placed on the racing manners of this filly.
 
Race 6 MURRAY BROS/RD 1 MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
OUR WICKLOW broke in the score-up and failed to settle losing all chance. A warning was placed on this gelding's mobile barrier manners record.
PRESENT ARMS was caught three wide for the first 800 metres.
A Minor Infringement Notice was issued and $100 fine imposed on Trainer A Donnelly for failing to affix the centre hopple carrier strap on ALOTBETTOR so as not to come adrift. The centre hopple carrier came adrift with approximately 1200 metres to run.
 
Race 7 COLLINGWOOD TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
TAFADHALI broke at the start settling at the rear of the field. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier manners of TAFADHALI.
GOD'S DELIGHT when in the lead shifted wider on the track after shying away from the winning post shortly after the start inconveniencing MURPHY BROWN.The mare shifted back to the running line in the lead near the 1600 metres.
P TOMADO broke passing the 1000 metres.
JC JOCK broke rounding the final bend causing the trailing GOD'S DELIGHT to take evasive action. A warning was placed on this gelding's racing manners record.
P TOMADO broke just prior to the 200 metre mark regained its gait and ran on for 4th placing.
A protest was lodged alleging that P TOMADO was in an incorrect gait in excess of 50 metres inside the last 200 metres. The protest was not contested and the JCA disqualified P TOMADO. A warning was placed against this gelding's racing manners.
 
Race 8 LASER ELECTRICAL HAWERA MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
The start of the race was delayed two minutes to due a power failure.
The unruly horse ART PLEASER was out of position by two lengths at the start.
NICOLE VAIDISOVA broke shortly after the start settling at the rear of the field. OUTA THE FRIDGE took evasive action around the galloping NICOLE VAIDISOVA. NICOLE VAIDISOVA was declared unruly for mobile starts.
ELUSIVE EDGAR stumbled breaking for a few strides passing the 1500 metres. As a result the trailing WAVE SONG shifted ground outward to take evasive action which resulted in MILLWOOD ROXY being forced to race three wide for a short distance. ELUSIVE EDGAR completed the remainder of the journey with broken gear.
WASHINGTON DIVA broke passing the 1450 metres and again when trailing the field near the 350 metres.
NICOLE VAIDISOVA commenced to give ground passing the 800 metres.
GOLDEN BILLION gave ground from inside the 550 metres.
ART PLEASER was improved from the rear inside the 800 metres and raced four wide without cover rounding the home bend.
MILLWOOD ROXY was held up in the early stages for the run home before shifting in to obtain clear running passing the 150 metres hampering OUTA THE FRIDGE which had commenced to give ground. N Chilcott (MILLWOOD ROXY) was warned for the manner in which she shifted ground.
A Minor Infringement Notice was issued and a fine of $100 imposed on Trainers A & L Neal for failing to affix the front hopple carrier so as not to come adrift on ELUSIVE EDGAR.
 
Race 9 THE FURLONG MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
No claims were lodged for WESTBURN COURAGE.
WONDER ANVIL over-raced when being restrained after the start.
BUTE MACH changed ground to shift wider on the track to get clear racing room passing the 200 metres.
Junior Driver D Ferguson was shown the video coverage of his drive on ACES N EIGHTS rounding the final bend and cautioned in regard to contacting the wheel of the sulky of PRINCESS KATE.
 
Race 10 POWER FARMING TARANAKI MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
There were no claims lodged for MACHIE MACH.
KILKEEL LADY which was over-racing tangled when there was an easing of the pace passing the 1200 metres. This resulted in this mare contacting the back of the sulky of MACHIE MACH. Trainer C Butler advised he would be removing the blinds for KILKEEL LADY for the second day.
MACHIE MACH was held up until inside the 100 metres.
LIVELY NIGHTS was held up until inside the last 50 metres.
Driver T Macfarlane (BULLY'S ROCKET) advised that the removable deafeners failed to activate after the cord broke. Trainer W Devenport was found not to be at fault.
The favourite MAJOR CHANGE after attempting to lead the whole journey battled on to finish 6th four lengths in arrears of the winner. Driver D Butcher advised that he was pleased with the horse's run considering it was challenged for the lead on numerous occasions.
 
Race 11 EGMONT TYRE SERVICE HAWERA CUP PRELUDE (HANDICAP PACE) Video  Video 
HOUHORA DREAM, STYX IT TO EM and STARRY DELIGHT all broke at the start, STYX IT TO EM and STARRY DELIGHT losing considerable ground.
BECKINSALE was inclined to lay out when placed under pressure in the final straight.
CHEQUEME ROSIE was held up over the early stages of the run home.
