When questioned regarding the tactics adopted on GRACIOUS STAR, driver B Butt explained that he had elected not to follow FRANCO SALISBURY passing the 1100 metres as he was concerned that FRANCO SALISBURY would improve to the parked position and he would be left to race three wide without cover. Mr Butt added that after improving three wide with cover from the 800 metres he was obliged to race wide on the final bend to improve after the three wide line had failed to progress. | |
