Wet weather mudguards and dust sheets were requested to be used due to the track conditions.
Track conditions were downgraded from Easy to Slushy following Race 1.

Trainer G Hunter advised the Stewards it was his intention to retire TWILIGHT FRANCO from racing after she displaced her palate during the race.

Race 1 JACCKA LODGE/SWITZERS VALLEY TRANSPORT HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
CHEEKY PAT broke at the start.
ONE COOL CHICK paced away through the early stages before being restrained into its correct gait.
TESSA'S ROCKET also paced away and had to be broken up to return to its correct gait with TESSA'S ROCKET losing considerable ground.
LADY HEST raced keenly throughout the running with the mare trotting roughly in the home straight on the final occasion.
ONE COOL CHICK threw a hind trotting boot near the 600 metres.
ONE COOL CHICK hung rounding the final bend.
SNOOP DOG broke passing the 400 metres.
CONTINENTAL BOY had to shift ground in the home straight to obtain clear racing room.
CHEEKY PAT was placed on the Unruly for future standing start events at the request of trainer B G Woodhouse.
 
Race 2 POLARCOLD STORES LTD/BMAC SHEETMETAL LTD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
BILLY THE BUS raced three wide without cover through the middle stages.
GOLD IN DEEP paced roughly after being eased wider on the track by BETTABE PERFECT with 600 metres to run. As a result GOLD IN DEEP and NERO STAR briefly locked wheels.
THE FLYING SCOTSMAN and CURRAGH'S PRINCESS were both held up rounding the final bend.
With approximately 250 metres to run GOLD IN DEEP (R Holmes ) broke when racing between ASTRO BOY (H Hunter) and NERO STAR (M Jones). The Stewards held an investigation into the breaking of GOLD IN DEEP. After speaking to horsemen M Jones, R Holmes and H Hunter and viewing the replays it was established that ASTRO BOY had improved its position with GOLD IN DEEP becoming awkwardly placed on the wheel of ASTRO BOY. M Jones had then been unable to release the pressure on GOLD IN DEEP due to NERO STAR hanging rounding the final bend then failing to respond when he attempted to shift outwards. After hearing from the respective horsemen the Stewards were satisfied that no one horse or horseman was at fault and no further action was required.
Stewards requested a post-race veterinary examination of GOLD IN DEEP after driver R Holmes expressed disappointment with the performance of the colt. The subsequent examination revealed GOLD IN DEEP to be showing signs of dehydration.
Trainer N McGrath advised he was disappointed with the performance of NERO STAR and he would be having bloods taken in the upcoming week and undertook to advise the Stewards of the findings.
 
Race 3 NORTHERN TAVERN/KUBALA SEEDS GORE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
KENNINGTON KANDEE was subject to a pre-race veterinary examination and cleared to race.
BETTER DELIVER broke in the score up impeding LEOLAS DELIGHT which recovered to take up its rightful position at the start.
KENNINGTON KANDEE raced greenly in the score up.
LEOLAS DELIGHT paced roughly through the early stages.
Racing into the first bend ROXY DALE which was vying for the lead broke forcing MAHINERANGI ROAD wider on the track. A warning was placed on the racing manners of ROXY DALE.
KENNINGTON KANDEE tired over the final 400 metres.
LEOLAS DELIGHT was held up rounding the final bend and through the early stages of the run home.
With 200 metres to run C J'S DELIGHT (C Ferguson) broke when C J'S DELIGHT shifted inside the pylons and attempted to avoid the final pylon. Shortly afterwards GOTTA CALL HIM MIST broke with a warning being placed on the gelding's racing manners.
MAHINERANGI ROAD and PAULA'S ON FIRE both lay inwards over the concluding stages.
Junior horseman C Ferguson (C J'S DELIGHT) in the presence of senior horseman M Jones admitted a breach of Rule 869(7A)(b) alleging that Mr. Ferguson failed to ensure that his sulky did not protrude inside pylons. After viewing replays and hearing submissions from Mr Ferguson, Mr Jones and the Stewards the JCA imposed a fine of $150.
 
Race 4 SHEET METALCRAFT LTD/HARRINGTON ELECTRICAL LTD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
HANK BROMAC raced keenly in the parked position for the majority of the race.
NOTHINGFORTHEMEDIA hung inwards and broke briefly leaving the straight near the 900 metres.
Co-trainer M Kerr advised the Stewards he was disappointed with the performance of BETTOR PAY ME and it was his intention to spell the gelding prior to resuming racing.
 
Race 5 WAIPOUNAMU & WAIMEA CONTRACTING LTD HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
ASTRAPI broke briefly at the start.
GOLDEN GATE broke badly at the start and lost all chance.
After approximately 150 metres OVERCAST broke also losing its chance.
JACCKA JACK struck pylons near the 1800 metres.
DAVEY'S GIFT commenced to give ground from the 500 metres with the trailing EXPERIMENT and MOKOSUN being severely held up at this stage of the race.
Approaching the 300 metres DANNY COOL broke and shifted outwards which tightened MOMENT OF SUN which broke as a result. DAVEY'S GIFT also broke shortly afterwards.
MOKOSUN broke with 150 metres to run.
Authorisation of fourth placing being awarded to EXPERIMENT was withheld until the Stewards had viewed replays of when EXPERIMENT had raced inside pylons rounding the final bend. After viewing the replays the Stewards were not satisfied that EXPERIMENT had travelled inside the pylons in excess of 30 metres and fourth placing was duly authorised. D Dunn (EXPERIMENT) admitted a breach of Rule 869(7A)(b) in that he allowed the sulky of EXPERIMENT to protrude inside pylons just prior to the home straight and the JCA imposed a fine of $150.
 
Race 6 CADUCEUS CLUB- SOUTHLAND/NEVELE R STUD FILLIES CLASSIC (MOB) Video  Video 
KASHANA broke racing into the first bend and failed to settle losing its chance.
NORTHERN VELOCITY made the bend awkwardly passing the 1800 metres when being challenged for the lead by CHEVRONS CHAMPION.
PANTASTIC raced keenly near the 1000 metres when the three wide runners improved on its outside.
DANCING DIXIE (C Barron) broke nearing the 850 metres losing its chance with the trailing SMOKE N FIRE being inconvenienced. Mr. Barron advised the filly had broken after striking a heavy patch on the track.
CHEVRONS CHAMPION was held up prior to the home straight before improving in the Passing Lane.
Stewards ordered a post-race veterinary examination of favoured runner ENVIOUS after the filly tired over the concluding stages. The subsequent examination revealed ENVIOUS had no obvious abnormalities apart from a slightly high respiratory rate.
The connections of TACT ROUSEY requested a post- race veterinary examination of their filly upon its return to the stabling area. The examination revealed a high respiratory rate with the possible onset of an upper respiratory infection.
 
Race 7 HIGGINS INSURANCE SERVICES/MURRAY BROWN RACING STABLES (MOB) Video  Video 
MACH DENARIO was back off the gate on the Unruly position at the start.
RAINBOW ROMANCE raced keenly in the trailing position during the middle stages.
APPLAUSE was held up on the final bend.
Passing the 200 metres PEGASUS KOMMANDER (R May) shifted ground outwards with BEAUDIENE CHEEKYCHIC (J Cox) having to be restrained when becoming awkwardly placed on the sulky wheel of PEGASUS KOMMANDER. R May was warned to exercise more care in future when shifting ground.
Junior horsewoman M Neilson reported she was unable to activate the sliding blinds on SANDVIK STAR due to the cord becoming entangled with the removable deafeners cord.
 
Race 8 CADUCEUS CLUB OF SOUTHLAND AUTUMN FUTURITY MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
Approaching the 1700 metres ONE BAD DREAM (D Dunn) had to be restrained when ONEDIN ONYX (M Williamson) shifted inwards into the trailing position. M Williamson was warned for the manner he shifted ground inwards at this point.
ONEDIN ONYX, MY MATE OZZ, POPULAR and ONE BAD DREAM raced keenly near the 1400 metres when there was an easing of the pace.
ONEDIN ONYX was held up rounding the final bend.
 
Race 9 LAKER HOUSE OF TRAVEL AUTUMN CUP (HANDICAP PACE) Video  Video 
ONEDIN MACH was re-handicapped to the 20 metre mark after winning at the Waikouaiti Trotting Club meeting held on Tuesday the 17th of March 2015.
I SMART and CHAR DO NEIGH both broke at the start.
THE WRATH OF ROBYN which tangled briefly at the start was hindered by the breaking I SMART shortly after the start.
TED WEST tangled briefly at the start then paced roughly through the early stages before breaking briefly approaching the first bend.
Near the 450 metres THE WRATH OF ROBYN (C Ferguson) which had been eased wider on the track hung inwards then broke free of interference losing its chance.
Stewards questioned driver M Jones regarding the performance of THAT'S HUNTING PINK. Mr Jones advised that the mare had worked hard during the middle stages which had taken its toll over the concluding stages of the race. He further added he believed THAT'S HUNTING PINK had not backed up from its run the previous week and it was intended to give THAT'S HUNTING PINK a brief spell prior to next racing.

RAKARATA gave ground over the concluding stages.
ART EXHIBIT was held up through the early stages of the run home.
 
Race 11 MICHAEL GRIFFIN HARCOURTS/DR PETER FINLAYSON MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
With 500 metres to run MIGHTY EMPIRE (G Lee) shifted ground outwards from the trail resulting in SUPERFREAK (E Swain) breaking on its outside. G Lee admitted a subsequent breach of Rule 869(3)(b) - Careless Driving. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions from Mr Lee and the Stewards the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
LIS IS FINE and HOT CHILLI were both held up rounding the final bend.
SWEET AS paced roughly rounding the final bend.
FLIGHT DECK had to shift ground in the home straight to obtain clear racing room before running out of racing room over the concluding stages.
