GREY STOKE was unable to maintain its position behind the mobile being out of position at the start.
MIGHTY SUNNY broke at the start losing all chance.
SPECIAL FLIGHT trotted roughly passing the 1600 metres.
BIM BOM BAY was unable to obtain clear running until inside the 150 metres.
 
Race 2 SPORTYS BAR & CAFE MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
LITTLE MASTER broke at the start and settled at the rear of the field before tiring over the final stages. A warning was placed against both the racing performance record and mobile barrier manners record of this gelding.
CHRISTIAN KNIGHT became unbalanced racing over the crossing and broke before settling in mid-field.
BLACK SANTANA lay in on the final turn and dislodged a track marker.

KHLOE was back from position at dispatch despite the efforts of driver J Stormont.
SHEZA SPRINGFIELD (favourite) paced roughly over the early stages and settled three back on the inner. SHEZA SPRINGFIELD then commenced to race fiercely before being badly held up throughout the run home when unable to secure clear racing room.
An information was lodged alleging that Driver S Phelan (BOOMCHICKAWOWWOW) drove improperly on the home turn and early stages of the run home by dropping his right foot from the sulky footrest and extending it forward making contact with the gelding's off hind leg. The JCA upheld the charge and after hearing submissions as to penalty imposed a fine of $750.

No claims were lodged for PRIME LEGAL and WESTBURN COURAGE.
STAND SURE became unbalanced racing over the crossing and broke before shifting out forcing ALTA MICHAELA out over extra ground. ALTA MICHAELA then worked forward to lead before commencing to give ground passing the 800 metres. A post-race veterinary examination of ALTA MICHAELA revealed no abnormalities with a warning being placed against the mare's racing performance.
 
Race 5 VAUTRON GROUP MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
BULLY'S ROCKET hung in badly on the final turn and early stages of the run home inconveniencing SAUCY EL for some strides. A subsequent veterinary examination of BULLY'S ROCKET revealed no abnormality with a warning being placed against the gelding's racing manners.
ACES N EIGHTS was held up early in the run home.
 
Race 6 ROSS GRAHAM MOTORS MOBILE TROT Video  Video 
PALAIS ROYAL was back from position at dispatch.
LE LUA INVASION broke racing over the crossing losing considerable ground.
SUNSHIELD and PALAIS ROYAL broke leaving the back straight and lost all chance.
ELLA'S SPEED broke briefly passing the 200 metres.
A Protest was lodged against the 4th placing of COOL SON under Rule 870(5) on the grounds that this gelding broke over the final stages and was lapped on by ELLA'S SPEED and PHIL'S FOLLY. The Protest was upheld and COOL SON was relegated to 6th place.
 
Race 7 NEW PLYMOUTH AUCTIONS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
An information was lodged charging Junior driver D Ferguson (SAGE CREEK) under Rule 869(3)(b) on the grounds that he drove carelessly on the final bend by allowing his gelding to shift inwards checking ARCANO, which broke, with resultant interference to JACK BATES and BRANDY which both galloped. After hearing the relative evidence and viewing the replays, the JCA dismissed the charge.
BRANDY broke the near hind hopple loop in this incident and was retired from the event. This gear was inspected and found to be in satisfactory condition with the Trainer deemed not to be a fault.
 
Race 8 STELLA ARTOIS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
JC JOCK broke near the 700 metres checking P TOMADO, with JC JOCK losing its chance. This gelding was subsequently stood down from all stake bearing events for 14 days.
P TOMADO broke for several strides near the 400 metres when at the rear.
WAVE SONG tired over the final stages.
 
Race 9 WOODLANDS STUD TARANAKI BREEDERS STAKES (MOBILE) Video  Video 
NICOLE VAIDISOVA broke briefly when leading near the 500 metres checking WALK OF FAME, which had to take evasive action. A warning was placed against the racing manners of NICOLE VAIDISOVA.
WALK OF FAME gave ground over the final stages.
 
Race 10 REVITAL FERTILISERS TARANAKI CUP (MOBILE) Video  Video 
MAJOR OUCH and GLENLOCHAR were both back from position over the latter stages of the score up.
VIBHUTI paced rough over the early stages.
CHANGE GEAR over-raced over the early and middle stages.
MACH CULLEN commenced to give ground from the 900 metres. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. A warning was placed against the racing performance of MACH CULLEN.
VIBHUTI was held up early on the final turn and early stages of the run home.
 
Race 11 LIFE MEMBERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
OUTA THE FRIDGE paced roughly shortly after the start. OUTA THE FRIDGE was then held up early in the run home.
WONDER ANVIL was badly held up over the final stages when unable to secure clear running. Driver S Phelan reported that he had not had the opportunity to activate the deafeners.
The near side rein pole on SOUL MAN was observed to come partially adrift in the middle stages of the run home.
