Race 1 FOTOSOUTH 3-YEAR-OLD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
MONTANA MANDY and AINT MISBEHAVIN raced wide in the early stages.
AINT MISBEHAVIN hung outwards rounding the first bend.
ROXY DALE broke near the 1750 metres and lost all chance. When questioned regarding this driver A Sanderson could offer no explanation. Stewards requested a veterinary examination of the filly which revealed no abnormalities.
ANNIE FITZ was held up on the final bend.
AINT MISBEHAVIN hung outwards rounding the final bend.
CHARGE OVER and CALLMEKIWI were held up for clear racing room in the home straight.
When questioned regarding the performance of COUNTING ON TESS, trainer/driver K Barclay reported that in her opinion the filly had flipped her palate during the race. Stewards requested a post-race veterinary examination of COUNTING ON TESS which revealed no abnormalities. Mrs Barclay advised that she would be making gear changes to COUNTING ON TESS prior to resuming.
Trainer G Gibson-Smith was issued with a charge under Rule 865(2) in that he failed to notify that PEPPERJACK would be racing with sliding blinds on. This matter was adjourned until Saturday 14 March 2015.
 
Race 2 PULSE SOLUTIONS PACE Video  Video 
MISS MATTJESTY began awkwardly and broke in the early stages.
GREAT ABBEY also broke at the start.
PESCADO was placed in restricted room by STEEN passing the 1800 metres which shifted down the track. Driver K Barclay (STEEN) was advised to exercise care when shifting ground.
PESCADO broke near the 800 metres losing its chance.
MISS MATTJESTY tired on the final bend.
When questioned regarding the performance of SET ME ABLAZE, driver A Beck reported that the gelding had failed to respond when placed under pressure and had been very disappointing. Stewards requested a veterinary examination of the gelding which revealed no abnormalities.
Driver K Barclay (STEEN) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2)(a) in that she used her whip excessively in the home straight. After hearing submissions on penalty, the JCA suspended her horsewoman's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 14 March 2015 (1 day).
 
Race 3 REGENT RACE DAY 29TH MARCH FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
NEAT N PETITE was a late scratching on veterinary advice at 1.29 pm after the mare was lame in a hind leg. The connections were advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to NEAT N PETITE resuming. Trainer D McLachlan advised that he would no longer be persevering with the mare.
A false start was declared when ELLNBAC broke in the score up checking THINKING SMART. Driver B McLellan elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier manners of ELLNBAC.
DOCEY DOE paced roughly racing into the first bend.
OLWEN JACCKA and THINKING SMART raced wide in the early stages.
DOCEY DOE gave ground on the final bend.
THINKING SMART hung inwards near the 250 metres and briefly locked sulky stays with ELLNBAC.
 
Race 4 CLASS ON GRASS - LADIES BOOK NOW MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
EJA PATRON hung inwards in the score up and was back slightly at the start.
EJA PATRON continued to hang inwards throughout the race and struck several pylons approaching the 800 metres.
RICO GOLD broke near the 300 metres inconveniencing RIGHTAROUND, PARNELL and EJA PATRON. A warning was placed on the racing manners of RICO GOLD.
FUZZY MUZZA hung inwards early in the run home.
 
Race 5 MORE FM CLAIMERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
FRANCO CALIPH raced keenly throughout.
TISBURY HARDLIFE hung inwards in the run home.
TAIERI WINGS was claimed by B Norman.
 
Race 6 INVERCARGILL WORKOUTS COMMITTEE HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
ELTSUNAMI, BLINK and SIN BIN broke in the early stages.
ANOTHER CRUSHER and TESSA'S ROCKET raced wide in the early stages.
SPRINGFIELD EYRE and THE SWEEDISH FILLY broke rounding the first bend.
MOA BONES was inconvenienced by the breaking THE SWEEDISH FILLY.
ANOTHER CRUSHER hung outwards in the middle stages.
THE SWEEDISH FILLY broke approaching the 800 metres.
MISS COCO trotted roughly and gave ground from the 800 metres hampering the trailing SCARLETT LANE. Stewards placed a warning on the racing performance of MISS COCO.
SIN BIN was held up on the final bend by SPRINGFIELD EYRE.
ANOTHER CRUSHER broke entering the home straight and continued in a break for a considerable distance.
Stewards lodged a protest under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horse Regulations against 5th placing being awarded to ANOTHER CRUSHER alleging that this horse had broken in excess of 50 metres in the final 200 metres of the race. After viewing the replay, driver B McLellan elected not to contest the protest and ANOTHER CRUSHER was disqualified by the JCA.
When questioned regarding the improved performance of OVERCAST, trainer A Paisley advised that today's field represented a significant drop in class from its last start. He added that he felt the distance of today's race also suited the mare compared to the 3200 metres last week.
 
Race 7 WIN A DIAMOND MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
Permission was granted for MACH DENARIO to race in alternate colours.
THE SHAKEY MISTRESS broke approaching the winning post on the first occasion and settled at the rear of the field.
FRANCO JOAQUIN raced wide in the early stages.
THE EMPEROR ROBYN hung inwards near the 1300 metres and lost ground which enabled SAGE to take up the vacant trailing position.
LANGHAM GOLD gave ground from the 800 metres with a warning being placed on the gelding's racing performance.
THE EMPEROR ROBYN gave ground from the 600 metres. Stewards requested a veterinary examination of the gelding which revealed a slow recovery rate.
JACCKA MARA was held up by the tiring THE EMPEROR ROBYN near the 500 metres.
FRANCO JOAQUIN was held up for clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
MACH DENARIO paced roughly in the final straight.
 
Race 8 DIAMONDS DAY 12TH APRIL MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ARDLUSSA COMET hung inwards over the early stages.
ONE OUT OF FOUR over-raced throughout.
OHOKA ROYAL hung inwards and paced roughly approaching the 400 metres after being shifted wider on the track by THREE TRICKS.
THE TISBURY TERROR, BEAUDIENE CLEMINTYNE, SAMMY THE BULL and ROME were held up for clear racing room rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
THE TISBURY TERROR struck several pylons passing the 200 metres when racing to the inside of ONE OUT OF FOUR. Driver R McIlwrick (THE TISBURY TERROR) assisted by senior horseman N Williamson, was shown a replay and warned for the manner in which he drove when attempting to improve into a position when suitable clearance did not exist.
