Race 3 - PREMIER EQUINE VETS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
Stewards followed up the performance of BAILEYS WISH with trainer N McGrath. Mr McGrath advised that the filly failed to cope with being improved wide through the middle stages and it was now his intention to have the filly driven with a sit for its upcoming assignments.

Race 1 D.J. PEARCE GRAZING & AGISTMENT MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
GERALD raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
BOOMER BAILEY was held up in the early and middle stages of the run home.
TWITCH broke with about 50 metres remaining.
 
Race 2 ANDY CLARK PAINTERS & BARSON DISTRIBUTORS TROT Video  Video 
IZINTHEZONE and NATIVES BRITE GEM broke at the start.
SOUTH COASTER broke at the start and again near the 250 metres.
ARRAN CHIEF broke after about 300 metres and lost ground. This gelding then broke again on several occasions losing its chance.
BEINN THARSUINN broke under pressure at the 600 metres.
ZSA ZARA had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the early stages of the run home.
WANDERING STAR broke passing the 100 metres.
NEED SUCCESS trotted roughly over the concluding stages.

NOMATTERMEE was slow away.
MAXIMUS PRIME broke at the start and lost ground.
SIOUX WEST broke shortly after the start for a considerable distance. This gelding was inclined to lay inwards throughout the running. It also had its 4th placing withheld until it was confirmed the gelding did not breach the Breaking Horse Regulations when in a break over the early stages.
VALMARA raced roughly in the early stages.
HANGOVER broke racing into the first bend and lost considerable ground.
MANINTHEMIRROR hung outwards near the 1100 metres and paced roughly for several strides. This gelding then continued to hang outwards for the remainder of the race. MANINTHEMIRROR was also cleared from the unruly for future standing start races.
MAXIMUS PRIME was unable to gain clear racing room throughout the final straight.
 
Race 4 NEVELE R FILLIES SERIES (HEAT 3) MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CHANGE THE RULZ broke in the early stages causing a slight inconvenience to NATASHA FRANCO. This filly then raced fiercely during the middle stages.
BIRD OF PARADISE and MIGHTY EMPIRE were held up in the early stages of the run home.

TOWIE ZOE was inclined to hang outwards and race greenly rounding the first bend.
 
Race 6 ELLESMERE TRANSPORT TROT Video  Video 
THANKSFORPLAYING was declared unruly for future standing starts at the request of the connections after the gelding continued its habit to break at the start.
SUENO broke shortly after the start.
TEHORO RUBY broke in the initial stages. This mare's near side number then hung loose after it broke racing into the first bend.
SONEY BEATT broke in the initial stages and was then forced to race wide and without cover from the 1800 metres. This gelding then weakened passing the 500 metres and broke at the 400 metres.
SALTWATER GOLD broke in the initial stages before trotting roughly and breaking entering the bend near the 600 metres.
STAR COMMANDO trotted roughly and broke passing the 100 metres.
OVERSTAYER was unable to gain clear racing room throughout the run home.

SOMEARDENSOMEWHERE had a warning placed on its racing manners after it hung outwards onto the wheel of JERRY GARCIA racing into the first bend, causing the gelding to break and lose its chance in the event.
JERRY GARCIA raced fiercely through the early stages. This gelding underwent a post-race endoscopic examination at the request of trainer L O'Reilly after he expressed disappointment in the way the horse had finished the race off. This examination revealed no clinical abnormalities.
ROO STAR contacted a track marker entering the straight with this being dislodged and falling into the running line.
 
Race 8 IRON BRIDGE PROPERTY GROUP HORORATA CUP (HANDICAP PACE) Video  Video 
JACK HAMMER had the nearside number removed prior to the start due to it breaking.
MADIBA MAGIC was stood down to trial from a stand to the satisfaction of Stewards after it again displayed poor barrier manners and breached the front row tape obliging starter P Lamb to turn the field away to re address the tapes. For the re-start MADIBA MAGIC was ordered to start on the outside of the unruly horses. MADIBA MAGIC then broke as the start was effected losing ground.
THE FRIENDLYASSASSIN reared and ran inwards at the start slightly inconveniencing METICULOUS and BELKMYSTER.
BETTER TO BE BAD broke at the start.
THE BRIGADIER was inclined to hang inwards throughout the running.
METICULOUS shifted outwards under pressure in the early stages of the run home.

ARCANO had its rein pricker removed prior to the start after it warmed up unfavourably.
ASTRONOMER broke at the start and lost ground.
GOING GOING GONE had a warning placed on its standing start manners after it broke again at the start and lost a considerable amount of ground.
TUBBYS SISTER broke at the start losing ground. This mare then slipped its over-check negotiating the first bend when inconvenienced by PAY ME VISA which had paced roughly in front of it. TUBBYS SISTER then hung inwards rounding the final turn proving difficult to steer for horseman M Anderson. Mr Anderson advised this was due to the mare slipping its over-check and he would be recommending this be shortened prior to its next start.
PAY ME VISA had its performance questioned, with the connections advising the gelding was feeling the effects of recent racing and would now be sent for a spell.
 
Race 10 BAYER CROPSCIENCE NEW ZEALAND HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
LISA MARIE P broke at the start and lost its chance.
NEVER FEAR broke after 200 metres. This mare was then inclined to hang inwards through the early and middle stages of the run home and trot in an uneven fashion. NEVER FEAR had its 2nd placing withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horse Regulations when in a break over the early stages.
FREE BIRD galloped on the bend near the 600 metres.
WILLIE SHINE broke approaching the 300 metres when leading and lost its chance.
ASTRAPI trotted roughly over the initial stages of the run home and was then held up late for clear racing room.
MAJESTIC TIME ran inwards abruptly when clear of the field nearing the 100 metres. Driver K Barron advised the mare had run away from its boring pole.
Horseman J Geddes ( MC BLIZZARD) advised he sustained a flat tyre shortly after the start.

JOHNNY MICK broke in the score up and as a result started about five lengths out of position.
DANNY DEL VITO raced wide in the early and middle stages.
DANA DYNASTY was awkwardly placed behind ALAN GOLIGHTLY which was tiring upon entering the home straight.
