Race 2 HYDROFLOW MOBILE PACE Video  Video
The connections of GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME advised Stewards that the mare was in season.
Despite the urgings of driver R Close, GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME refused to address the mobile barrier and was several lengths out of position at dispatch. The mare then raced lethargically throughout and took no part in the event. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities and the performance could only be attributed to the mare being in season. A warning was placed against the mare's racing performance.

BETTY GOLIGHTLY raced three wide throughout before giving ground early in the run home.
SECRET LOTION raced keenly in the middle stages.

Stewards questioned drivers J Dunn and J Hay regarding this. After hearing from both horsemen it was established that JACKO had resented the attempted downward shift by K C MONET and had struck a knee causing it to break. Accordingly Stewards took the matter no further.
Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule near the 1500 metres when SHE'S GOT IT briefly raced four wide after WOODLEA LEGEND improved outwards. After viewing the replays it was established that driver K Cox (WOODLEA LEGEND) had commenced to shift outwards prior to SHE'S GOT IT reaching her sulky wheel. No further action was deemed necessary.

Stewards requested a Ruling from the JCA after driver S Ottley (NUI TOC TIEN) intimated she had been denied a fair start, believing she was not seated in the sulky and that a Starters Attendant was in front of her horse as the start was effected. After viewing available video footage along with statements from Ms Ottley, Trainer S Dolan and Starter P Lamb the JCA ruled that NUI TOC TIEN had been denied a fair start and was subsequently declared a non-runner under Rule 213(1)(j).
