No claims were lodged for WINSTONE P and VIEWFIELD APACHE.
A false start was declared when HADRIAN broke causing interference to the second line. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier manners of this gelding. Amateur Horseman M Stormont elected to stay in barrier 2 with HADRIAN for the restart.
WINSTONE P broke early in the score up and was approximately a length out of position at the start.
WITH A VENGEANCE was held up in the early stages of the run home.
 
Race 2 BRIAN COPPINS MEMORIAL/COUNCIL CAFE & BAR HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
MEGASPEED swung sideways shortly after the start was effected and after regaining its gait broke again badly veering outwards and was pulled up. Horseman J Dickie advised that the crupper had come adrift. A warning was placed on this horses standing start manners. Mr Dickie advised that this horse would return to the workouts to trial before it resumes.
GEORGIES SMILE broke at the start running off the track in a bad gallop then galloped on numerous occasions finishing well back. This filly was declared ineligible for 14 days up to and including 25 January 2015. Trainer D Kaa advised that he would be no longer persevering with this filly as a racing proposition.
MIGHTY SUNNY veered inwards in a gallop at the start inconveniencing BURT MUNRO.
MY SECRET STRIDE broke at the start.
A NIGHT IN PARIS and MADAM SPRINGFIELD broke after the start.
STUEY D broke 150 metres after the start inconveniencing SHARDON'S PEARL and SUNOVA. SUNOVA being checked into a gallop.
SHARDON'S PEARL broke briefly after going over the crossing near the 1800 metres
STUEY D broke near the 1600 metres losing considerable ground.
MIGHTY SUNNY broke approaching the 400 metres. A warning was placed on this gelding's racing manners.
MY SECRET STRIDE broke passing the 400 metres.
SPRINGFIELD HUGH broke passing the 300 metres.
PIPPA MIDDLETON broke inside the 300 metres.
 
Race 3 DESIGNER BARS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
A false start was declared when AQUICKONE broke in the score up interfering with the second line runners. Horseman S Lawson elected to maintain barrier position 3. This filly was declared unruly at the trainer's request.
AQUICKONE and MEMPHIS MISS both broke shortly after the restart settling at the rear of the field.
KHLOE was held up until inside the last 200 metres.
JEANIE POPS paced roughly for the final 200 metres and was unable to be driven out to full advantage.
LADY MARIA was held up in the trail prior to the passing lane. This mare paced roughly when challenging for the lead with 40 metres to run.
 
Race 4 ANDERSON STREET PANEL & PAINT LTD JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
There was a two minute delay to the start of this event as a sulky change was required for VIBE.
PURE CHRISTIAN broke approaching the 1800 metres briefly inconveniencing RICKY BOBBY.
The front near side hopple carrier came adrift on CELTIC WARRIOR when inside the 1400 metres. A minor infringement notice was issued and a fine of $100 was imposed on Trainer A Grant for failing to affix the front hopple carrier on CELTIC WARRIOR so as not to come adrift.
An investigation established that IDEALISTIC paced roughly shortly after the start and again passing the 1800 metres ducking inwards briefly causing PURE CHRISTIAN to gallop.
 
Race 5 A (ANDY) SMITH LTD HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
BROOKBY PRINCE was a late scratching at 7.42am with a veterinary certificate to be provided.
No claims were lodged for SUNNY VACATION.
There was a six and a half minute delay to the start of this event when DRAGON LADY required a sulky change after falling to the track prior to lining up at the start. DRAGON LADY underwent a veterinary examination and was declared fit to start. A warning was placed on the standing start manners of this mare.
CREAMEE and SUNNY VACATION both broke at the start losing several lengths.
NO ORDINARY SUN broke racing around the first bend.
ITSNOWORNEVER broke passing the 2500 metres.
CREAMEE broke passing the 2000 metres losing ground settling at the rear of the field.
MA CILLE broke passing the 450 metres.
ITSNOWORNEVER broke inside the 200 metres when weakening.
Horseman B Hackett was spoken to advisedly in regard to the manner in which he shifted ground outward with MAKAREWA JAKE inside of MEYER LANSKY approaching the 200 metres.
 
Race 6 M'VILLE AUTO ELECTRIC/WORKPLACE ENGINEERING SUPPLY MOB PACE Video  Video 
A successful claim was lodged by Mr T Hall for PUREORA PAREE.
LADY P broke when caught four wide racing past the 1600 metres. LADY P was taken wider on the track by Horseman S Argue to correct its gait and it then settled toward the rear.
LADY P raced three wide without cover from inside the 1000 metres. LADY P locked sulky wheels with BETTY BOOP BROGDEN passing the 300 metres when LADY P was tiring. A warning was placed on the racing manners record of this mare.
EVERLASTING GRACE was held up for clear racing room until inside the last 100 metres.
An information was lodged alleging that Horseman S Argue was in breach of Rule 869(2)(a) when he used his whip unnecessarily when driving LADY P over the concluding stages. The charge was admitted and the JCA imposed a fine of $225.00.
 
Race 7 PIAKO BOBCATS/RON JOHNSON DRAINLAYING MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
There was a delay to the start of this race when the start was aborted early in the score up due to BILLY THE BAD and CLINTON JONES locking sulky wheels.
COULD A DUNIT broke for several strides settling quickly shortly after the start.
RASCHKER raced greenly and then broke approaching the 1900 metres veering outwards forcing FIELD OF COURAGE and BARABBAS to race wider on the track. BARABBAS became unbalanced travelling over the crossing and broke losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing manners of RASCHKER.
FIELD OF COURAGE paced unevenly throughout.
CLINTON JONES was held up for racing room over the early stages of the run home.
 
Race 8 NOTTINGHAM CASTLE MORRINSVILLE GRASS CUP (HANDICAP PACE) Video  Video 
There was a delay to the start of this event as gear adjustments were required on LUCIA BROMAC.
STYX IT TO EM broke at the start losing several lengths.
IDEAL SUCCESS paced roughly and broke for several strides.
MILLVIEW SARAH was slow away.
STYX IT TO EM broke with 200 metres to run when attempting to improve inside BRYDON DELIGHT and the marker line. Horseman S McCaffrey advised that STYX IT TO EM was inclined to lay out however Stewards reminded him of his obligations when attempting to improve in tight quarters.
MCROYAL failed to get clear racing room throughout the run home.
GOLDEN DELIGHT failed to get clear racing room until inside 150 metres.
CHEQUEME ROSIE was held up until inside the last 100 metres.
 
Race 9 CLIFF THOMAS PATRON MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CLASSIEGENT paced roughly rounding the first bend.
EARTHBOUND became unbalanced and broke when travelling over the crossing at the 1500 metres when racing at the rear.
BANDANA over-raced when one out without cover in the middle stages.
ZOLTINA weakened inside the last 600 metres.
TORMENTA after racing handy in the one-one position weakened in the run home. A post race veterinary examination of TORMENTA revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 10 HORSE POWER ENGINEERING (2005) LTD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
There was an approved change of Driver from T Williams to B Mangos at 11.50am on 10 January 2015 for the horse HERE'S SHIFTY.
BOURBON STREET was a late scratching in this event at 6.46pm on 11 January 2015 with a veterinary certificate to be provided.
LISA'S LAWYER lay in badly after the start and rounding the first bend.
HANDLEBAR HANK paced roughly and broke for a stride when racing to the lead passing the 1900 metres.
OKEY DOKEY tangled for a few strides when racing toward the rear passing the 1600 metres which inconvenienced LISA'S LAWYER which momentarily tightened ASHLEY H for racing room on the running line resulting in ASHLEY H striking track pylons and going into a break. ASHLEY H settled quickly at the rear of the field.
WAIPIPI FALCON was held up over the early stages of the run home.
BRAINSTORMER was held up until inside the last 150 metres.
