Race 1 NORTHLAND HARNESS RACING SUPPORTERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
UANDMEBABE (favourite) broke approaching the 1900 metres recovering quickly, however became unbalanced travelling over the crossing (1700 metres) and galloped again losing considerable ground and settling at the rear of the field two lengths in arrears of the main bunch. UANDMEBABE was improved from the 1300 metres and sustained its run to finish second.
TANTOMILE in a challenging position inside the 200 metres paced roughly and galloped for several strides.
 
Race 2 NEVILLE BROS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
No claims were lodged for MOTU JUST IN TIME, MISS PEMBROKE, OUR SOUTHERN MAN.
HADRIAN became unbalanced travelling over the crossing settling several lengths in arrears of the main body of the field.
AMBRO COURAGE when improving to the lead approaching the 1100 metres veered outwards and galloped settling at the rear of the field. A warning was recorded on this mare's racing manners.
MISS PEMBROKE when racing one out without cover paced roughly approaching the 1000 metres.
MOTU JUST IN TIME weakened inside the last 800 metres finishing well back. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. A veterinary certificate of fitness is required before MOTU JUST IN TIME resumes racing.

UCANTTAKEITWITHU hung in under pressure over the final stages.
SLYSU was held up throughout the run home when unable to secure clear racing room.
 
Race 4 NORTHLAND SECURITY FENCING MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
ROYAL KISS broke at the start losing considerable ground and its chance. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier manners of this mare.
KURAHAUPO GAMBLER broke shortly after the start settling at the rear of the field. A warning was placed on the mobile barrier manners of this gelding.
WYNBERG SALLY broke inside the 400 metres resulting in KURAHAUPO GAMBLER and JUST A DELIGHT having to take evasive action. WYNBERG SALLY lost all chance as a result of her breaking, with a warning recorded on the racing manners of the mare.
Junior Horseman M Blakemore with the assistance of Senior Horseman S Lawson was shown the video coverage of the run home with his drive of CONCORDE and was warned to correct his whip action.
 
Race 5 FARMLANDS WHANGAREI AND WELLSFORD MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
MISSDEBONAIR and LIBERTY STYX (favourite) both became unbalanced when travelling over the crossing and breaking from their gait with LIBERTY STYX losing its chance, and MISSDEBONAIR losing several lengths before settling behind the field.
NO APACHEMEE and MACH'S GEM locked sulky wheels passing the 900 metres when NO APACHEMEE was improving outward.
HERE'S SHIFTY was held up rounding the home bend and over the earlier stages of the run home.
 
Race 6 HIGHVIEW TOMMY AT WOODLANDS STUD NORTHLAND CUP (HCP PACE) Video  Video 
A minor infringement notice was issued with a fine of $100.00 imposed on trainers J & J Dickie for presenting KIPPENBERGER with blinds which were not notified.
ROYAL TAZ tangled briefly after the start.
WESTBURN COURAGE broke for several strides when racing at the rear passing the 700 metres.
MILLVIEW SARAH when being improved past the 600 metres three and then four wide, briefly hung inwards causing a check to LIVELY NIGHTS which broke and lost its chance. A warning was placed on the racing manners of MILLVIEW SARAH.
 
Race 7 NORTHLAND TEMPORARY FENCING & MAQ HANDICAP TROT Video  Video 
A veterinary certificate of fitness for COOL SON was received.
No claims were lodged for LETZ HOPE, MOMENT OF TRUTH, SUNNY VACATION
A minor infringement notice was issued and a $100.00 fine imposed on trainer D Balle for presenting COOL SON with a whip being carried which was not notified.
OUR SUPER RAM broke when in the lead passing the 2300 metres. When tailed off this horse broke again travelling over the crossing.
TARN became unbalanced travelling over the crossing losing two lengths.
SUNNY VACATION trotted roughly inside the last 250 metres.
MEANDER WITH PEGASUS (favourite) was improved from the rear three wide to reach the lead passing the 1600 metres, began to tire inside the last 400 metres, beaten 43 lengths. Trainer/driver J Abernethy advised Stewards that he suspected the mare was dehydrated. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities except for a slow recovery rate. Mr Abernethy further advised that he would be freshening the mare prior to resuming racing.
 
Race 8 BRYANT TRACTORS/BALLANCE FERTILISERS MOBILE PACE Video  Video 
CULLECT A HOLIDAY paced unevenly at the start.
MILLWOOD ROXY was held up over the early stages of the run home before gaining clear racing room with 200 metres to run.
WONDER ANVIL weakened inside the last 500 metres finishing well back. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
