Mr Butcher stated that after activating the deafeners early in the run home that he had been headed quickly by JOMO (winner) and had then been reluctant to place COOL SON under pressure as he felt the gelding would gallop and in particular given its tendency to do so in the past in similar circumstances. He further advised that the connections would not be carrying a whip with the gelding for future races. | |
